My favorite parts:

Lived in LA for some time and knew a number of "pro" bodybuilders.
Stripping for gay men seemed to be pretty common.
I don't know how much further it goes, but Ken Sprague, the original owner of Gold's was in gay porn. (Last I heard, he was married and living in the Northwest. I think you guys are getting alittle off topic here. Let's forget the sex aspect for a minute<I know it's hard> But everything that guy wrote was spot on. Today's bodybuilders to me look like unhealthy freaks that are about to have some type of organ failure. Back in the old days, Arnold, Zane, Lou, those guys looked like the picture of what a strong healthy man should look like. I see the BBer's of today and I have to turn away because it turns my stomach to think of the amounts of drugs these guys are doing to look like that. I might make some haters of me for saying this, but it makes me sick, and I'm exactly the kind of person that should be a big fan of Pro BBing. I'm not.

To be honest, in a way it is very cool to see a super-jacked freak like dennis james or lee priest or even coleman, but pro bodybuilding is a joke IMO. The athletes are treated like shit and paid shit, hell they don't even get paid for their magazine features in FLEX....Weider may have brought BB out of obscurity, but what does it matter the way he's pushing it back into obscurity now, shit, Bill Phillips has done more than weider to get BB accepted in the mainstream, recently anyway.
