Body type/frame

I have a close friend who has sort of an ectomorph bodytype, but is planning on jumping on a cycle. He has a small frame for an average height guy, but I'm concerned on how the weight will look on him. Lets say through constant training, eating, and cycling, while the body weight look natural on his small frame, or will it look weird? How will the weight expand on his body type? I'm worried that the weight will just end making him fat and not bulky looking. What do you guys think?
 
I am an ectomorph as well... In the 8th grade i was a tooth pick, but worked out in high school and took it farther now in college. I would say I am one of the bigger (muscular) guys in my school, even tho its kinda small... How old is your friend, how long has he been training, diet, etc?? After we know this then we can make a guess of whats best, but right now a cycle doens't sound like the answer. You gotta have the basics before anything else.
 
The guy's been lifting for around 3 years, but he's def. cut up and all, but he has no muscular build. He's tired of busting his ass in the gym day in and day out so he's planning his cycle.
 
what about his diet.. if he does a cycle and his diet is shit, then hes not gonna gain anything
 
Well...I graduated High School at 103pds. (1990) and Iam 5'5". My offseason weight is 200-205 with about 10 percent BF.
I think it will be fine!
 
well i graduated h.s. around 180- 185, and after 2 and a half years im up to 220 naturally now... i wanna know his age to see if he can add natural weight with a good clean diet.
 
The guy diets pretty well, but he'll have it down when it comes to cycling. I just don't want his body to come out weird looking because of his body type, but I'll pass the information on to him tonight at the gym.
 
Well if he's just worried about how he will come out looking, i think his body will not come out weird looking.
