Body For Life

Kalos

New member
I was training chest today and overheard two people talking about the Body For Life program. They were saying that this book would change their body and life in just two months etc.. I then asked to see this boosk since I have never bothered with it. As soon as I opened the book, there are pictures of before and after the Body For Life Program. So many pictures weren't even real. They looked like they cut someones head and pasted it on another body. Are people that dumb that they can't see this?As soon as I saw this, I gave the book back and wished them luck. Are they allowed to do this? What is the world coming to.

I know one of the pics in there is bunk cause if u look at the one b4 pic the guy has a tat on his right arm, then in his ripped pic the tat just seemed to disappear with all his fat.

Some of them indeed looked real but so many of them were fake. Especially the ones in the back. I had a good laugh. I guess the progeam is good when you are an obese individual and want to get in shape. Any exercise program for an obese individual with a good diet will have great results in two to three months.

The first contest WAS bunk, those guys were getting huge and ripped in 12 weeks naturally? i have great genetics and it took me three years to get those results.....and the anthony guy, you think he had great genetics, gimme a break.....however the new contests seem much more real looking, anyone noticed? The pics arent nearly as dramatic....-WULF

heh,,,pretty big dude for his age (by natural standards)

EAS are marketing geniouses indeed,,,they attacked the ppl with money, the 20-40 year old market, they let muscletech have their small 10 serving cell tech high school customers

I think most of the body 4 life pictures are real. Before I saw pictures of an old friend who did it, I thought they were all fake. It's amazing what you look like when you drop from 15%BF to 5%, keeping the same amount of lbm.

However, they also use pictures of experienced lifters and bodybuilders before and after their cutting cycles. Though I can't say this for sure, a national fitness chain I work for has done this before to get people enrolled in their own version of body for life. If you look at some pictures I'm sure you'll find people who have all the muscle and it appears they've gone through a cutting cycle.

I can sum up that 2nd grade book (although well selling) in one post:

"The mind is the most powerful tool we have." ...or something like that.

Write down 5 goals everynight and DO THEM!

Read the list of foods and divide each meal between a portion of protein, carbs, and vege's.

Have 5-6 meals per day.

Have a cheat day 1 to 2 times per week.

That's it for Mind power and eating!!!

All that is left is following the workout plan (which does go nicely with the diet plan).

Thats it!!!!

This diet does wonders for couch potatos just starting out, or for those who are trying to get back into shape from time off. If you have problems obtaining sub-10% bodyfat ranges, it probably will not get you there without some sort of tweaking. It is an excellent, healthy way of eating. It is more directed for newbies and for those outside of competitions just trying to eat healthy.

Can't knock it down, as it has helped many.

Wooops....and of course, there are a few plugs for dieters to use meal replacement drinks and bars to help make the dieting easier, as it will "take the guess work out." These just happen to ....uhhhhh...oh yeah, MYOPLEX shakes and bars...:)

This post wasn't a flame by the way.

I don't see anything wrong with the Body for Life Program. It is a great program for people that need a system to follow. It's great for beginners. I myself wouldn't do it but for someone that is just starting out, I think it's great. Shit, whatever works to get them off the couch and in the gym!
I've taken some of my clients before and after pictures from working with them for twelve weeks and a lot can be accomplished in twelve weeks when you have someone helping you along. Again, whatever works to get them into a healthier lifestyle.

I think the BFL program is good, as it has given many people a base to start off with. I thought the book was OK even though I already knew a lot of stuff in it. The most troubling thing was the push for Myoplex, and how "almost none of the BFL competitors would have won without it," that is B.S.

There was a heavy set chick at my gym.....haven't seen here for a while until a month ago....She is on the BFL program and the transformation was unbelievable!

BFL - MY IDEA TO WIN

Thought about making 60 days in a row cheat days and lifting very little (just a little HIT to keep the CNS active). In other words get fat...... A N D T H E N!!!!!!!!!!! (scared you, didn't I?)

Go back to my old habits - 6 meals a day 12-14 hours of Iron cranking per week + a nice cutting cycle of Clen-T3-Winny....... And return back my natural state (6% body fat -205 lbs - 5'8")!

That's how a lot of products do the before and afters - they take shots of bodybuilders either offseason or purposely getting fat and then a shot of one pre-contest..... :D

I think you NEED TO DO BFL before you assume that the pics are fake. Ive done the challenge before and will continue doing it coz it does work. I too met Porter Freedman and he looks nothing like what his before pics did!

Peoples faces look different because they LOOSE WEIGHT, they have fat faces, and because they loose weight they look different. You also need to remember that when they take their after pics they want to look their best so they get a tan, have thier hair done and put on make up.

I think you are too Naive, if you dont know BFL, dont post pathetic info on it, I have meet many people who did the challenge and their faces changed completely.

I don't think that many if any of the pics are fake.

If you look you'll notice that they're all fat fucks that lost a bunch of weight over 12 weeks. Is that supposed to be amazing or something??? That a bunch of couch potatos started eating & exercising correctly and lost fat?

The Body For Life program is good. But not putting on 27lbs of muscle and losing 49lbs of fat in 12 weeks good.
