Body acne

Anybody have a problem with acne on there backs, and chest? I don;t get it on my face anymore, I just get it on my back. I don't use gear. I am sure if I did my entire body would be covered with acne. I know theres accutane, but I have taken it when I was young and did not have body acne, and a year later I got body acne. I think that either the accutane or antibiotics had something to do with it. But anyway has anyone found a solution. I have tried all the garbage salic acid washes and all that junk and nothing works. Anybody know whether going to a tanning place could help get rid of this?

tanning does help. i feel taking arimidex helps a shit load

btw it is illegal with put an RX and i dont sell it btw and it is ment for breast cancer pateints

tanning will help, naturally is def. better though b/c some people break out from sittin in their own sweat in tannign beds lol. Honestly, if you exfoliate 2x / week you will see a noticeable difference. Get a good cleanser, not a deoderant soap or anything too fragranced. I like kiehls but you can find one that works for you. A basic castille soap is the least irritating soap out there... use that soap with a loofa, possibly a loofa on a stick so that you can reach your back. Also, refrain from touching your skin with your hands... most people would be amazed at how fewer breakouts will occur with less touching/popping.

well the problem is definitely the fact that I have seriously oily skin. When I wash it takes care of the oil but gets very dry and itchy. Then if I put some moisturizer on it (I have tryed many many kinds of moisturizer non comengenic, 50$ chanel shit, etc.) and all of the clog my poors. I have never found one that doesn't cause zits. When I use a loofa it irritates the zits more and they get worse. I definitely have a problem with touching my back but thats because these zits hurt a lot. Not like stuff on ones face. I may try tanning. How long do you tan and how frequent do you do it, and do you put on any lotion before? I have a problem with lotion as well. Also if I do not wash my back and just shower my back gets very dry and itchy as well. As much as I would liketo get rid of this I don't think taking some illegal shit is an option for me.

apply cetaphil lotion immediately after washing the skin. DO NOT OVERWASH either... u need to keep a balance on your skin, you can rinse, but do not wash w/ soap more than 2x daily at most. I find that I am less oily when I apply lotion after washing... when your skin is dry it prompts oil production... so don't let it get dry. Also, check your laundry detergent. Get some fragrance free detergent for awhile and NO DRYER SHEETS unless u can get the unscented, anti-irritative ones. Your shoulders are the most contacted part of the body.. in terms of clothing.

cetaphil is what I use. I definitely don't over wash. I don't just get it on my shoulders. I get it all over my upper lower back and upper arms.

u know i've found that taking a lot of Udo's oil (flax oil) has brought down my amount of breakouts hardcore. tanning every 2-3 weeks also helps a ton.

body breakouts or on your face? ALso how many grams do you take per day. I think I am gonna try tanning.

body and face. i take 3 tablespoons flax oil per day. way back i read about it and found out it was supposed to help with acne (don't remember exactly WHY anymore, if i were you i'd research it). with the flax plus tanning (only about 15min sessions at least once a month) you should be set. goodluck

I don;t get them sometimes. I have got the for 6 years non stop covering my back. I have tried salyic acid and all the rest of bs out there. That shit drys out my skin which causes even more acne. Also I can't reack my entire back.

no chance anyone who follows a decent diet on this board has an efa deficiency. I really think you guys are looking in the wrong place here. Dietary changes are going to have a minimal effect on this problem. If he sticks with the advice up top, maybe throws in some b5 and starts tanning... there will be a difference. If that difference is not significant enough, take advantage of your healthcare plan and go get a reco to a dermo.

I have taken b5 in 10g dose a day and it clears acne on my face but not on my back. Also it makes my nose bleed very badly because of a side effect from accutane which dried out my nose membranes and has been that way for 6 years, so its not really and option, and besides it not cheap to take 10gs a day and I can't get it free. In terms of seeing a derm my dads a doc so I can get basically any drug that a derm. can prescribe and in fact at one point or another over the past 7-8 years I think I have tried almost every single rx acne drug on the market: all antibiotic (topical, and oral: tetracycline, doxacyline, Erythromycin and a bunch others), all retinoids ( like retin-a, tazorac, metro gel, differ etc? and also I have taken Accutane which is what I believe caused the body acne in the first place 6 years ago. My dad says theres really nothing else out there. I have seen a derm to and she looked at me and a minute later tried to prescribe antibiotics which I had already been taking. Problem with antiobiotics is they don't make it go away for good they just make it go away while your on them, and whnen you stop the acne comes back real bad, and the have bad side eefects as well. I think I am gonna go right now and see how much tanning at a local place costs. As far as EFA difficiency other then in the last 22 months I tried to say away from all types of fat so I may be difficent. What I would like to know is SC4EVA do you have very oily skin on your face and back?

whats the deal with these stand up tanning machines? WOuld this be better then having to lie in my sweat which could potential cause more body acne?

you guys are speculating pretty deeply here... So long as you take a hot shower after tanning or working out, you shouldn't aggravate breakouts... Honestly...think about where your clothing has the most contact on your body... SHOULDERS AND BACK... change laundry detergents first and foremost to a sensitive skin UNSCENTED detergent... with anti allergens and what not...NO DRYER SHEETS and no fab softener.. those are both oil based.

yeah i have been telling my mother to start using some of that detergent because I just moved home and I am too lazy to start doing my own laundry but I will if it will help. As for the sweating part anytime I sweat I get acne especially on my back and chest where my the clothing touches my skin the most. And most of the time it will be during playing tennis for a 2-3 hours so the sweats definitely drying.

dude, the first thing my doctor said to me years ago when i bitched about zits was "do you use bounce fabric softener sheets?" "STOP"...

seriously, if your getting mostly where your clothes touch your skin, it is the problem...
the film left on your clothes has an adverse reaction when it becomes wet (sweat) and causes zits.. (for some people)

use ABC (not ultra)... if your mom insists on "ultra" detergent, use tide unscented/fragrance free "recommended by dermatoligists"... I use ABC for best results, and I dont use alot of detergent.. and DO NOT USE FABRIC SHEETS.. use downy liquid, no perfumes, unscented shit... let the water fill up in your washing machine, add a bit of liquid downy, a bit of ABC, swish it together, add your clothes.

I bet your zits are gone very soon if you do this.

go in a stand up tanner once a week... yes it will dry the skin a bit, but it will cook those zits away!.. also, use nizoral dandruff shampoo on your zits.. it will dry them a bit but it is a great anti-fungus/anti-bacterial agent and it works wonders.

man, if i put on a shirt washed with my parents laundry detergent and fabric softener, i will be itching like mad and i will have zits all over my shoulders, back and chest! fuck, been there, it pissed me off.

Thanks for the tip. I will look into all this and see if it helps. I have one question though. Do you have real oily skin?

umm.. nope, I don't have really oily skin... but I dont have dry skin either. When I wash my face with nizoral I can tell it looks a bit dry after, but I just leave it... I wont wash with it before I go out.. cetaphil is good for a non-drying cleanser...

i have found a decent non-pore clogging moisturizer to be:

lubriderm, seriously sensitive, 100% fragrance free, moisturizes and protects skin for 24 hours, on the back it says non-comodogenic (whatever that means).. and it also says "it's clean, non-greasy formula will not clog pores"...

i use it sometimes and it doesnt seem to give me a problem.

I have actually used that exact lubriderm shit, and it breaks me out in a few hours after applying it. I have used almost every moisturizer that says non comengenic and all that, and I think its either just a scam or I got some fucked up skin. I only wash my face at night and don;t moisturize, because within a few hours after washing my skins very oily, and if I moisturize I will get evn more zits. In the morning I don;t wash my face, but when I get out of the shower my face is seriously dry, so i don;t know what the hells going on.

could be your water drying out your skin.

see, if you use something that drys your skin out, apparantly, your skin just reacts by producing more oil. I have not found this to be true at all.

if i were you, i would wash my face in the morning with cetaphil. i would again wash my face in the evening or before bed with cetaphil. this will not dry your skin, and it shouldnt make it oily either. if you find your skin to be dry afterwards, try putting a tiny bit of cetaphil (same shit) in your hands and apply it to your face. make sure your hands are clean and dont touch your face during the day. that clean & clear deep cleaning astringent shit is great for oily skin.

go to your doctor and ask for this compound lotion shit.. it is benzyl peroxide and clemdimicin i beleive... on the bottle it says:
/NUTR,PANOX5% AA:CL 2%
wash with cetaphil in am, apply lotion.
wash with cetaphil in pm, apply lotion

i bet you will notice your skin gets oily from the lotion, who cares! it will clear your skin up. if it gets too too oily for you, half way thru the day do a quick wash with tee tree soap, or do a quick wipe with some witch hazel.

I find a soap with a neautral ph balance seems to help, but I still am broke out,Ill try switching the bounce sheets and using nizoral, how often should you use nizoral on bacne

Is clemdimicin am antibiotic? My dads a doctor so I can get whatever I need to try. The name of the shit is NUTR?

I need to second CollegeKid2. I've been on flaxseed oil for about 2 weeks and my acne has reduced. I had real bad acne when I was younger. Though now that I'm 20 it has naturally reduced dramatically. But, I still get a zit her and there. But I have also found that eating better makes it all better. Also going into a sauna for 15-25 minutes to release body toxins and clear pores helps a lot. Finally, reduce stress levels. I meditate for 30 minutes a day and it drops my stress levels tremendously as well. Stress dudes, stress is killer for you body. Try to reduce it as much as possible! And your body will function way better. If you workout real hard at the gym that should be enough to reduce your stress levels. I just enjoy going deeper. I love being almost stress free.

well I changed detertergents and have cleaned all my closes and I am still getting more body acne so I guess this was not the problem. Although I am not getting itchy so it has helped in a way.
