I hate to be a complainer, but what was all that maintenance, new server, etc.? This board seems to be still running slowly, if not slower.

Thanks George. I didn't mean to sound whinny. Speed was one of the things keeping me from going platinumn. I'll be patient though.
when i tried to get on this site last night i kept seeing "platinum members only" response.
i got it with tring to post, get into my pm's, and doing a search. i was thinking george just made it a pay site. i was pretty pissed off.
but things seem to be getting back to normal. still a bit slow, but what the hell, it's a great site and i'm happy with it. this response page is still loading and i'm done with my reply. . .
i've really been thinking about joining the platinum group. i hear good things and bad. i guess there is only one way to find out for sure. . . .

XXXL: That happens to me frequently. I'll get the "for platinumn members only" message at times. I'll have to relog back in. Then it works.

i hear ya bud about supporting the site. i've been using this board for many many years now and have never contributed a cent. i kind of want to give back a little.
i had always felt like my way of giveing back would be to help the bro's trying to learn as so many hleped me in my quest. but then something happend to the board and i lost all of my posts. everytime i would try to help somebody out they would scream "I ONLY WANT HELP FROM THE VETS"!!!! they would see something like 1 or 2 posts and just assume i didn't know what i was talking about. it got old and i stopped posting for a long time.
but i do want to see what it's all about. i'm hoping the the bro's who take the time to join platinum will be more serious about bb'ing and hopefully a tighter group who keep in touch with each other. i have my small group of elite bro's, but it always good to make new friend. . .
