blue bell ice cream "no sugar added"

3g fat, 2 sat
4g sugar alcohol
has polydextrose, sorbitol, maltodextrin and aspartame to name a few.

if you just had to eat ice cream, is this acceptable during a bulk?

Technically that ice cream (and other low fat / low sugar products) are perfectly fine as long as you can squeeze them in with your 'clean' foods.

Even when I am dieting I still hit some 'sinful' foods. For example, my post-workout shake must contain carbs so sometimes I will throw in 1/2 cup of normal ice cream in it.

The key for me is tracking everything I put in my body. (I love fitday.com) One quote I read a while back was "If it doesn't contribute directly towards by goals it does not go in my body." Rght now I am hitting 1800 calories a day wich consists of roughly 100g carbs, 250g protein and 44g fat - I'll hit the generic eggs/chicken/oats etc. diet but it will not kill me if I throw in a scoop of ice cream in here and there - especially on my cheat days where I allow myself to go up to 2500 cals.
 
yeah, same here....i like throwing a little bit in the shake here and there.....

i dropped 64 oz of shake on the kitchen floor earlier.....wasted nutrients....the little bit that was left in the cup after i picked it up went all over the kitchen walls and ceiling when i hit it with a kickback @ full speed.....was so pissed.....talk about rage....i've never seen so much shit dripping off a kitchen ceiling. i need to control my shit. i'm still pissed about it. can you tell..

Thats it right there!!! As long as your cheat foods are added and not simply replacing your clean meals, then I don't see anything wrong with it when bulking. I know I start getting myself in trouble if I were to eat a bucket of ice cream INSTEAD of a yam, breast, and flax oil.

you'd be better off with the real thing (ice cream that is)... stay away from all those artificial sweeteners, sugar alcohols, etc. Having one cheat day per week is acceptable and healthy for your sanity too!

I used to panic that I couldn't eat anything that tasted good for fear of gaining fat...sweets were my downfall, so I stayed clear away from them.... but during my last two cycles, I ate and ate and ate and ate... not always bad, but I definitely ate more types of food than I normally wood...the conclusion for me was I gained alot more weight... not *too* much fat and I could burn it off easily at a later time.
