Blood Work

To those of you you get blood work done. Do you just go to your family doctor and say: "Here's the deal doc. I am doing a cycle and to be as safe as possible I want to get some blood work done pre and post." Also do you try and get it done via your work insurance or just pay out of pocket to just cover your ass? I am 34/6'/240/12bf and have been doing a long 16 week Test Enth. cycle (500mg/week). I feel great and nothing is wrong at all, just curious as to what my levels are right now and what they will be if/when I come off.

Thanks guys..

I've never had a good experience asking a doctor for a blood test personally. Plus my insurance is through my college at the moment and I have to go to doctors on campus who are VERY reluctant to order blood tests, especially to test hormone levels. And there is no way I'm going to tell those guys I'm on roids and risk getting kicked out of school. So I order my own through this company: http://www.directlabs.com/index.php

The "excuse" that has worked well for me (because it is true is):

"There is a history of hypogonadism (low Test) in my family. My father is currently being treated for it and began treatment around my age. I would like to be tested."

A lot of times, if you complain about things that are attributable to low Test, a doc will try to give you an antidepressant. That's where the family history thing can come in handy.

dont admit to your doc (unless he is a cool doc) that your on steriods...most of the time, just schedule an appointment to get a physical..tell him you want blood work done to check your cholesterol and what not, also for STD's (always test for this no matter what) and for hormone levels...simple...

Agreed - never admit usage.
Family history is good way to go for an excuse.
Ask for CBC, cholesterol and liver functions to be tested.
Most docs will put EVERYTHING down in the records to cover their own asses.
Your medical records are then accessable by all insurance companies.
Privacy - bye bye!
