Blood work results concerning?

buffdoc said:
...Cholesterol (total and LDL) has been WAY demonized. Look to the intravascular inflammation, there's the true risk. The regular docs are continuing to drag their feet on this, year after year.

Oh man, right on!!! I'm impressed, buffdoc, if you don't mind me saying so, you really know your biz.

BTW micro dont feel bad, my hdl was 16 after 3 months off! Doc told me niacin would help bring it back up. But, I have to take mega doses 1-1.5g I took 300mgs tonite, and let me tell you. The bottle states you may get flush, itchy and a burning feeling, well they werent kidding. My head, chest and arms were bright red and on fire! But, it actually felt kinda cool. Said I can continue to juice and the measures I take to bring hdl up should still work..........galaxy

Bro, you should consider No-Flush Niacin as too high a dose of regular Niacin can be bad for your liver. You can use a high dose, get the same benefit and without the risk. Also, while you're waiting for it to come back up Garlic might be a good idea since it's said to do the same job as HDL in protecting your arteries.

Doc said it was possible for hdl to come back up even while on. I told him I had started again this month and he said to just hit the niacin hard, and he did mention elevated liver enzymes. Thanks, where can I get no flush, went to three stores today before I founds niacin..........galaxy

NO-FLUSH NIACIN, Inositol hexanicotinate gives cardiovascular results without the burn! 180 capsules, 275mg, $15.20. Code 103.7

Flush Free Niacin POWDER! Inositol hexanicotinate powder, 120 grams, $9.00. Code 103.8

IMHO: Your AST and ALT look great... Any serious weight lifter is going to have those numbers high or above range. Get your GGT measured next time, that's a better indicator. Have Dr JMW order you a comprehensive panel and have it interpreted.

Thanks, bro.
There's a guy on the hair loss thread who would disagree ;-)

Ok so let me make sure I have this straight. The results are what I should expect. HDL a bit low, but somewhat expected even after 2 months off.

When should I expect to see the HDL level come back up?

So anyway, try the garlic. Also no-flush niacin of which I know the codes but still don't know where or how to get it. Anybody help me out with that?

Thanks all for your responses!

I added the link above for the no-flush bro, just click it. The Garlic is important.
