blood tests

my doctor did a blood test on me and everything is fine

my question is does a normal blood test check the liver? or do you have to specifically ask for that?

Lab tests

You have to ask your doctor which tests he ordered.

There are different blood tests for different things. Liver functions are generally not done on routine screenings unless your doctor is looking specifically for a liver problem (i.e. history of hepatitis, alcoholism, your medications known to cause liver damage, etc.)
