Well here goes. I'm 51 and my test was at 340. My doc put me on the 5gm patch to see how I would do. One month later, just this past Tuesday I had another blood test. Now my test shows 239. I felt a lot better after being on the patch in about 1 1/2 weeks and now I feel like shit. Do you think the doc will take me off the patch or do you think he will let me take 10gms per day? I'm hoping he will bump it up since I did feel better ontill the patch took over. What do you think he will do?

what does 340 and 239 even mean?? is your test too high or low?

239 and 340 are his test levels. He is saying that his test levels were 340, which is in the normal range, albeit low. Then when his doc put him on the patch, his levels dropped to 239. I believe 240 is the lowest for the normal range. Anyway, your doc will probably bump up your dosage. That is what i think. Have you used testosterone or any AAS in the past?

I think the normal range is about 250-800. I believe that's about right - it's a wide range.

Really? I stand corrected. I need a new doc.

normal is 300-1200ng/dl.

That sounds right, my doc quoted 280-1200 ng/dl. When I had my levels checked it was 71ng/ml. I was at the high end of the normal range... FOR A WOMAN. The problem is I'm a man. Needless to say I have a script for meds now.
