Blood Pressure

New member
I,m on my second shot of my first cycle . It is 400mg decca , 500mg karrachi spilt 2 times a week , was 30mgdbol but I knocked it down to 15 mgs 2 days ago , 50mg proviron , and I started test prop 50mg with my 2nd injection this week . For the past 2 days I noticed my nose is sensitive to touch , and when I wash my face it is starting to bleed . After I took my second shot of the cycle tonite , it bled again . So I took my blood pressure and it was 148/85 , then 30 minutes later it was 131/85 . Was it just my nerves fromdoing my 2nd injection , or is it the dbol ? What should I keep a eye on ? Oh yeah , I have packed on about 8lbs in 4 days , I am drinking lots of water . Any advise?

Mr

That bp, is not that bad, HOWEVER, you're doing something that's known to increase bp, and you're kinda borderline. So what I'm saying is keep an eye on it, meaning check it everyday, especially before you work out, especially heavy. Also, add some herbal diuretic if you get bloated and -- although some would disagree -- if I were you, I'd stay away from stimulants while my bp was high or in danger of being high. hth

it's from all the water weight..... start to take somthing for that as soon as you can,
+ i think you will look a hell of alot better without it...
some people like it though, up to you

Bro, it's pointless to speculate about bp unless you factor in weight. BP will be high if you have a lot of tissue to pump blood through, that's all there is to it. If you are heavy but can still keep you diastolic below 90, you're doing good. A great indicator of general condition is to get a chest xray and let a doc tell you if you heart is nice and thin. Even if your bp is a little high, if you keep that heart thin, you're ok.

Mr

BP will be high if you have a lot of tissue to pump blood through, that's all there is to it.

I don't agree with this. I know many individuals who are overweight and do not have bp problems and, conversely, individuals that are thin and do have bp problems.

I agree that diastolic bp below 90 is acceptable.

I don't know what to make of a "thin" heart, however, bp will wreak havoc on heart valves, eyes, kidneys, brain, and in fact your entire cardiovascular system. bp doesn't have to be high for anyone, and if it is, no matter who, or what, you are, it'll do serious damage to your body.

Top blood pressure measurement more important than bottom, researchers say

(CNN) -- The National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute (NHLBI) has issued a new health advisory for diagnosing and treating high blood pressure.

For years, doctors thought the top number in a blood pressure reading was the less important measurement, and that it was normal for this number to rise with age. But now, NHLBI says the opposite is true.

The agency says the top number is actually more critical -- and should be kept below 140, regardless of age.

KNOW THE NUMBERS
High systolic pressure (top number) means the maximum pressure within your arteries during each heartbeat is great enough to eventually damage vessel walls.

High diastolic pressure (bottom number) means your heart and blood vessels don't relax well between beats.

Normal -- Less than 130/ 85 mm Hg
High-normal -- 130 to 139/85 to 89 mm Hg
Hypertension -- Consistently greater than 140/90 mm Hg
A desirable blood pressure level to achieve is 120 or less (systolic) over 80 or less (diastolic).

Blood pressure is a measurement of two factors. The top number is the systolic blood pressure, which measures the force the pumping heart exerts on the blood vessels. The lower number is the diastolic blood pressure, which is measured when the heart relaxes between beats.

...Just an aside regarding weightlifters and B/P-I have found many weightlifters have artificially elevated b/p's because they are examined with the wrong size b/p cuff.if the doctor/nurse uses the "normal" cuff,it will cause your pressure to be artificially high.Ask them to use the large cuff, especially if your biceps measure >17"
When measured appropriately,a fit weight trainer has no more risk of hypertension than the general population. What tends to screw up the numbers are the mass quantities of different meds we take, especially the alpha/beta adrenergics(clenbuterol, mahuang). You throw in liver problems, and you get hypertension.

i went out and bought a home digital tester with large cuff....i suggest you do the same,,get OMRON they are the best.

btw...my reading was 154 /86:bawling:

Mr

M.O.D., be careful with those, none are as accurate as a doc taking it with the correct size cuff. It only takes a minute and they'll always do it for you for free.

I have had a bloody nose all nite , I'm not sure what I should do . I am on the heavy side . Should I stop the cycle ?

I had mine checked by a ( stupid ) M.D. in the middle of a heavy bulk cycle including 1250 sust (week) and 50 mg dbol (day). BP in large cuff was about 200 over 100. After some diutetics and convincing them the cuff was too small (and I was done with the Dbol) with the thigh cuff it was like 140/80. No nose bleeds though. Headaches in the gym were a bitch. I'll never use dbol that high again! My arms were about 19.5 inches cold flexed.
I weighed around 285 by the way.

Your doses aren't incredibly high. Are you prone to nose bleeds? You might want to drop the dbol and the deca and if you are taking aspirin, stop. It doesn't sound like it's your BP, though. Be careful.
Actually, if the sust is IP, you may want to try dropping it first. Just to see.

I am not prone to nose bleeds . Actually I can't remember having one as a adult . I have been feeling great and having great workouts . My blood pressure seems to be consistent at 133/85 today . that seems ok . I am just woried about it when the sus and decca kick in down the road . I just started having headaches since the nose bleeds , tha could just be stress though . If I was to go off the cycle , should i do the clomid or hcg , with only 1 week of this cycle under my belt ?

Have you stopped the Dbol? That is probably the culprit. Sust and Deca take weeks to hit. However, if you are going to stop now, no need for clomid, but depending on how much you need it, Nolva for a week or two might be in order.

I did stop the dbol today , I am considering stopping the cycle although I like the progress in strentgh and intentsity of my workouts this week . Maybe I should work on getting the BF down considerbly before I plan on a mass cycle . I didn't think I would have a Blood pressure problem at least so soon , so it would only get worst when the decca and sust hit in 4 or 5 weeks , then How the hell would I slow it down . Thanks for all the advise , much appreciated Bro's !!!

Mr

I also had a small cuff give an inaccurate reading (way on the high side) so definitely ask for the large cuff. The first time that happened to me, I nearly shit my pants because mine was like 200/100 with the small cuff. I can't remember what it was with the larger cuff but I know it was way under that. One final option here is to use a bp med while in the dangerous period of your cycle. I take a med called Avalide that is really benign. It has a small water pill in it too. I actually take when I think I need it, in other words, I don't take it everyday. hth

I am no expert, but I don't think it is your BP that is causing the nose bleeds. What is your normal BP? Stop if you want to, but a light sust only cycle shouldn't raise your BP to critical levels. OR a deca only cycle. Compare this BP to your normal BP and make sure that they are both accurate.
I tried mine in Walgreens and my forearm barely fit. LOL

bloodpressure

i would not worry too much. after three weeks of test prop. (500 mg per week) my BP was 158/98 at the doctors office. But i think i have a touch of "white coat syhndrome"

what is "white coat syhndrome" ?
Test prop doesn't put much water weight on does it , would that have anything to do with high BP ? Cause I dropped the dbol and am doing prop eod instead . Actually my pressure hasn't been high the last few days and I am still getting a little nose bleeds , I might just have a sinus infection I think . Does any of the decca , sust , provioron , prop or dbol I'm doing have any blood thinning properties ?

Mr

White coat syndrome is when someone's bp goes up just because of the anxiety of seeing a doctor (who wears a white coat). :) I think the blood thinning concept is very possible, so bump.

CNN:Herbs that may affect anesthesia
...has a list of SOME herbs that may affect bleeding times...
also,if you have liver problems, that increases the bleeding times as well.
Hypertension CAN cause nosebleeds, but usually it is much more severe than what you have described.
Also, remember drugs with aspirin in them can increase bleeding tendencies(like ECA stack and the like)
