Blood pressure final verdict

I've taken my BP over the past 4 days. Here are the average readings for those days.
Day 1 159/89
Day 2 158/83
Day 3 141/80
Day 4 150/80

I'm debating on going to see a doc in the morning. I upped my cardio to 7 days a week and also added garlic and flax to my already clean diet. I'm 23 years old and it shouldn't be this high. I've been "off" for 5-6 weeks now and I'm wanting to start my summer cycle consisting of Test, EQ, Fina, Winny. I've trimmed BF way down also. the only thing I can think of is I eat a shit load of steak. I eat steak 4 nights a week..

bro..
please go see a doc!

good luck and keep us posted.

Just took it again it was 141/76. This is better

What's the high end of the normal range before hypertension?

if i'm not mistaken its around 160.

you're definitely close!
dont take chances.

The old limits are changing with the results of studies showing people with BP of 110/70 being less prone to CV disease than the traditional 120/80 group, so , ideal is to keep it under 120/80.
This is kind of difficult for us, but with such safe anti-hypertensive drugs around, I´ll keep mine in the normal range and save my heart from an unnecessary afterload increase.
I´m currently taking enalapril 20mg/ day, and keeping my BP around 110/70 . I´m off now, but if it rises when I start my next cycle, I´ll probably add amlodipine or indapamide.
I´m on medical supervision since there is a strong family history and I know this is where my genetic Karma lies. So I consult regularly with a cardio since age 35.
I think there are some things that has to be in the normal range for a person to live long:
Blood pressure
Fat mass
Lipid profile
Glucose.
Watch them closely and keep them as close as the optimum range you can.

Isn't the bottom number the most important? My Diastolic is about in the normal range. Still I guess I'm off to the doc in the morning. SHould I ask for a specific kind of med? How do these lower BP anyway. I hate taking medication, I think it does more harm that good sometimes.

Also my BP monitor I bought is supposed to be top of the line. It's one of those automatic digital ones. It says to use your left arm. When I use my right it reads lower in the 131/74 range. Does it matter which arm you use?

There is always some difference between the arms and you should consider the higher measure.
Diastolic has been considered the vilain of high BP for a long time, but the high systolic pressure effects on blood flow and instabilization of atherogenic plaques has been concerning cardiologysts to the point of considering it even more important then diastolic high pressure.
Your doctor will probably ask for a map, to have an accurate notion of how your BP varies throughout the day. If you have border line hypertension, he will probably ask you to take conservative measures like lowering sodium, increasing cardio, etc... Since you are in your mid 20´s I doubt he will start meds.

Anti hypertensive drugs for athletes are usually ACE inhibitors, that block the formation of a vasoconstrictor called AngiotensinII, and some calcium channel blockers, like amlodipine, that promote vasodilation. There are really many options.
In the probable event that you walk without medication, don´t forget to come back once you start the cycle, because it will be a whole different game by then.

Mine was just like that for about a year, when I finally saw a MD, now on b/p meds, but with d-bol, by the end of the day it is up again to 150/84, every morning, all night and most of the day it is normal, may end my d-bol soon and finish my cycle.

I had to take four different b/p meds before I found one that worked and did not have serious side affects, fatique and cough.

Ok guys I went to the DOc today and he checked it on my left arm and it was 152/85. I have a high dollar BP tester and my right arm reads about that. Now I checked my right arm and it is 120/62 average. WTF does this mean. Why is there such a difference in arms. On my left arm it has to pump way up to like 200 mmHg to get a reading and my left only has to pump up to 160mmHg to read. this is an outo sensing monitor.

The doc told me to clean up my already clean diet. I don't know which arm to go off of. I hate to go on meds if it isn't really high. Any BP experts here? Should I buy a glucose monitor also, what would that tell me?
