what does you guys like as far as black shoes go? looking for something i can wear out but also dress up/somewhat casual

Yes. Kenneth Cole is a good choice for black shoes for a guy. I like square toed shoes on my men. A lot of their shoes you can dress up or down.

i own 8 pairs of doc martens, they rock and girls always complement me on my shoes.. i have funky looking shoes, dressy looking shoes, somewhat sporty yet still dressy shoes, one pair has lasted me 5-1/2 years now.. just look on ebay.. there is a huge variety of docs.

I like a little roundness to my shoes as well. Otherwise they remind me of clogs. Captoes are always stylish, I like leather soles, but sometimes if I will be doing a lot of walking I will wear my Eccos.

square toes are not euro at all... they wish tehy would die, but as i explained on another post, they will not die. Believe it or not, many eu's esp. in italy are still diggin on the pointy toes... i have 1 pair o those monkey shoes I pull out w/ very tight leg slags.... aside from that, lucid has the best pick thus far, but if you dig u might even be able to do better... either way NO on the docs =/

I have 4 pairs of Ferragamo
2 pairs of Ecco
4 pairs of Kenneth Cole
2 pairs of Banana Republic

Banana republic shoes are shit. Don't buy them. Kenneth Cole are much better quality and extremely comfortable. Ecco shoes are incredible if you are on your feet a lot and do a lot of walking. Ferragamo when you wear a suit.
