black and blue from an injection

received a pm and since I can't see the person want your thoughts. Thye claim to have injected and the site is sore and black and blue. as i have never seen this i was thinking a vein was hit but truthfully am not sure so thought i would ask.

my best bet

I hit a vein in my delt once but after the injection when I pulled the needs blood came shooting out. I used direct pressure on the punchure to stop the bleeding but a lot of blood went in my arm and It was black and blue like half of my arm was bruised.

Yep, thats exactly what it sounds like... I have experienced this and it can be a damn nasty bruise...

It's happened to me as well....takes awhile to go away but doesn't cause any problems.

He will be fine, It is just a hematoma. It will take a couple weeks to clear up.
