BJ Penn vs Georges St. Pierre

I think this is gonna be an awesome fight. Im so pumped for this.

I know BJ is a really good fighter but Georges seems unstoppable right now. I think hes gonna dominate BJ just like he did to Trigg and Sherk.

Does anyone agree?

Yeah, I agree. GSP isn't going to stop until he eats Matt Hughes's soul.

I'll go with Penn. He's more experienced against tougher competition. If St. Pierre can be subbed by Mat Hughes, he certainly can be subbed by BJ. If St. Pierre can keep it on the feet he has a chance, but BJ is no slouch on his feet.

I honestly think GSP's previous loss to Hughes wized him up to ground game. When he came back and fought Trigg, he made him look like a fool.

Trigg nearly beat Hughes and Hughes had a muich tougher time with him than GSP.

Ergo, new and improved GSP owns Hughes.

LMAO that made me crack up!

As someone stated before, GSP's loss to Hughes probably made him to back and train 10 times harder, if that's possible. I've never seen him fight, but I've heard a lot about BJ Penn( all positive comments), but I have to go with GSP.

If he beats Penn and doesn't get a title shot at Hughes, I'm sure GSP will drag Dana White into the octagon and choke him 'till his head pops off.

What do you guys think of Loiseau vs. Franklin??? I have to with Loiseau, of course. ;) Both these guys will want to stand up, and both are insane strikers.

I'll be in Mexico for UFC 58, but godamn, I'm gonna track down a TV in that resort somewhere

Franklin is more impresive than I initially thought.

Did I read that Forrest Griffin is fighting Tito?

Yes Forrest is fighting Tito Ortiz and hopefully kicking his ass like Chuck did.

Tito is coaching the TUF 3 with Ken Shamrock and they will be launching the new season on Spike TV around the same time as the April fight.

I love GSP and although BJ Penn has a great pedigree and lots of experience I think that GSP is HUNGRY for the belt. I don't think Hughes is looking forward to the rematch.

Thursday night on Spike TV they will be airing UFC All Access and following around Rich Franklin as he prepares for his fight with Loiseau. Should be interesting and is hosted by one of the ring girls from UFC.

bj by rnc

I can't hontesly see GSP being caught in a RNC. That scenario usually results from someone defending an opponent in full mount from their back, and turning over to avoid the barage. I suppose it could happen, but Georges seems too skilled to get caught that way.

Agreed, GSP trains BJJ so I don't think he will make a rookie mistake.
The way he schooled Trigg was impressive IMO.
Trigg is top ranked by FCF, I'm not sure why but they have him top 5.
I'll take GSP by KO - I think his takedown defence is good and he will catch BJ with a punch or kick and end it standing. If he's smart he will avoid the ground.

BJ will kick GSP's ass......now, before anyone blows up on me....allow me to explain.

BJ Penn is the most under-rated MMA fighter in the game today. He was favored to lose 2 to 1 against Rodrigo Gracie and he dominated him to a unanimous decision. He was favored to lose against Matt Hughes, look what happened. He choked his ass out in the first round. BJ was favored to lose against Takanori Gomi and look what happened. He kicked Gomi's ass for 3 rounds, then choked him out.

Now, BJ Penn is the underdog again (3 to 1, I think....75-25)....now let's see what happens. I'm not taking ANYTHING away from GSP. GSP is the man, and I believe he is one of the greatest mixed martial arts fighters in the game, but he's about to take a second loss to The Prodigy. Gomi was rated the greatest fighter pound for pound when he fought Penn with a record of 14-1 (or 15-1...I can't remember). They said that Gomi had the fiercest ground and pound techniques in MMA competition, but Penn has the greatest guard and guard pass to date and was able to nulify Gomi's GnP game.

Every man than Penn has fought, he's taken his back at some point and time throughout the match (except for a couple of KO's he had, lol).

GSP has the capability to take it to a decision.....if he stays off the ground. Watch the Penn-Pulver fight and learn from it, GSP.

Good luck to both fighters.:)

It takes alot of talent to get your black belt in three years and win the Worlds to become the first non-Brazilian World Jiu-Jitsu champion. The only thing that he's lacking is stanima and conditioning....not as good as GSP's.

Louiseau vs Franklin?......I'm gonna have to take Franklin. Franklin is not stupid, he'll fight the smart fight and take it to the ground. If he does try to stand-up with Louiseau he'll get hit hard, learn from his mistakes, and take it to the ground. He's got great conditioning and will be able to hold him there for 5 rounds if necessary.

Just like Kenny Florian vs. Kit Cope and Stephan Bonnar vs. James Irvin, Franklin will swallow his striking pride and take Louiseau to the mat.

Best part about BJ is how he looks like some guy from the street that has never fought. That is untill you see his crazy skills.
When is Tito gona tear apart Forrest?

I predict Tito will tear Forrest appart about 10 seconds after the fight hits the mat
which will be about 30 seconds after the opening 'bell'
