What are the firewall rules for a bittorent client?

UDP in = OK
UDP out = OK

TCP in = only a range of ports (like 6800-6900)
TCP out = OK

i use azureus, just open or allow for port 6881 is default.(but you can use any port in that range) I think it only runs thru tcp. i look around

might help if you said why you wanted to know; are you setting up or blocking?
I use Shareaza and BitComet, I'm pretty sure they're both TCP only.

Azureus here
I want to block the unnecessary traffic

and you're right, I've tried w/o opening the UDP and it works just fine

What about the upload limit?
I think too high a limit will penalize the download but too little is also just as bad (I don't know why though)
