Bitter/Sweet news

So yesterday I get called into the owners office because it is performance review time at our company. Long story short I got a huge raise %25 base pay raise plus an added day rate when I am working in the field. If I work as much the rest of this year as I did last year this could be a 25-30K raise. So that is the sweet part. The bitter part is that I would really like to move on to a company that does things of more direct interest to me. Problem is now I have to find a job that pays at least more than my new base to make it worthwhile to leave. Oh well at least this should pull me out of debt quite quickly.

I feel your pain too. While I am not thrilled with my job, I get paid well for it, so I feel stupid complaining about it.

Yeah I always have my eye out for the brass ring. Been trying to get a government job but it's damn hard even with friends on the inside.
