anyone know anything about the area?

I have to drive down there this weekend (no clue about the area) so I start calling to make hotel reservations and find out the talladega (sp ck?) races are this weekend. Dang redneck sports. So I'm calling the gamillion places i've googled and this dude answers. He's got 2 rooms available. Whoo hoo! Asks me how many adults will be saying, of course it's just me. He then stops me midsentence and says "oh no no no, you can't stay here." I'm like wtf? He proceeds to say, "um, a young gal by herself...no ma'am, you might not make it through the night". GEEZUS!


So, I called my redneck bud klu and asked if i could stay in her trailer. I knew she'd be drivin' down yonder. Them 'er rednecks are so dang reliable.
 
youll have to sleep under the porch with the dogs
 
Good luck finding a decent hotel in AL

well u can pee on the cinderblock holding the rim up
if you dont get bit by a snake because of the high grass
and BTW i am not responsible for cooter bites by snakes that isnt covered under my insurance

Well with the evacuees all over rooms are far and inbetween if ya know what i mean.

Keep searching though you may find a room somewhere decent. Just will take alot of leg work.
 
You're probably going to have to look south of there. I'm not real sure how far south, but if you end up in Mobile I might can help you. :worried: ;)
 
Yeah we used to go to Talladega but stayed in a little city right outside the track. Good Luck finding something. Us rednecks will drive hours on end just to see the race. :D
