rebuilding, getting there

hey guys im currently in my first semester of biochemistry. does anyone have any resources on the internet or any sites that may be of help? or even your professor's homepage with some links on it?

mega karma blast to anyone that attempts to help

Oh, also....check to see if there is a companion web site to the textbook you bought for the class. Some of these are surprisingly helpful.

Thanks...good luck with that class. I have had classes in organic chemistry before, and they are a mofo. You know the plastic molecular model kit? The one that you were probably required to buy as part of your course materials? My advice to you: USE IT! A LOT!!! And then, learn to identify and sketch the various configurations on paper, as that's what you'll be doing on exams.

man ive had physiological chem I college chem I, II organic I, II and i neve used the damn models, since you cant use them on tests.

I guess everyone learns differently. I tried just going with sketches, but I didn't really absorb the material well until I combined the visual representation with the 'hands-on' 3-D model.

advice for biochem: just write shit over and over. think of it as patterns you just need to memorize. i gave up on trying to "understand" every intricate part of the science behind it, just focus on memorizing. good luck man, biochem is a bitch.

just inject different things into yourself and then chart the effects... your teacher will be stoked.

Sounds like somebody prefers to learn kinaestheitically.........
