Bicep genetics

i'm just under an inch. but my distance would change if i measured from the tiny little bulge i have at the end of my bicep. i think it's my lower bicep muscle. where it is attached stretches out further than my bicep. from there i would have about .5"

I'm the same way beach bum. I have moderate peak and moderate length, but half of my lower bicep stretches damn near to the joint. So I'm like 1" on most of the bicep, but part of it goes almost all the way down so like .25-.5" right there.

That doesn't make sense for determining potential "peak" of the muscle. The more distance between the forearm and bicep muscle, the greater your peak will be.

However, the less distance between the forearm and bicep muscle, the more overall bicep mass you can have (cause the muscle is longer).

Then again, I could be wrong..

That sounds about right jwwpua. Other things to consider too is how thick your biceps muscle is compared to how long it is, as well as it's shape when it contracts.

Simple example of long biceps muscle with insane peak, Arnold Schwarzenneger.

It's bullshit. I have a gap big enough for 3 fingers and at 6'3 in height i was still able to build 20 inch arms. Look at Ronnie Colemans gap, it's big, so was Franco's, Arnold had a decent gap as well. In fact larger gapped bi's usually look better because of the sharper distinction between the tendon and the sudden rise of the bicep belly. BTW Dorian Yates (before the tear) Also had decent gaps, also they do fill in a tad as you grow.

I have really peaky bi's for my arm size. I have very small bones and my arms are only like 16". I get complements that they look much bigger than they are. I have a really hard time gaining, could it be due to the shape of them?

i would contibute your hard time gaining to your smaller frame and build. if you have small bones, then you have small muscles (compared to a 300 pound man). i doubt the shape has anything to do with gains, just your bodytype. i have a small frame, and i have never gained easy.

thank you, i thought this finger measure test was innacurate bc if your peak is high then you have poor genetics for biceps? that just didnt make sense to me. i agree with you all.
