Not sure where this goes but fuck it
Does anyone use a program to track lifts by weight/reps/sets that charts progress
 
I don't think most people actually record what they lift. They say it is very useful to keep it all, but most people get tired of doing it after a few days. I know I did.

I think that the ones that record what they are lifting are the new guys, and not the vets (for the most part).
 
I know mens health has a personal trainer software thing but I just write mine down.

Question - if you don't write down what you lift how do you know you're progressing?
 
I did it for years, kept detailed logs of everything I did, ate, slept, etc...

It is kind of depressing because, I was a lot stonger 5 years ago, but I think I look better for my age, now then I did then.

well i wouldnt consider myself a newb but yea i hear ya. i'm back after a long hiatus and its blowing my mind how fast the muscle memory is kicking in, lifts have been going up every week and i'm about to start my first cycle in 4 years and thought it would be interesting to track personal records and plateus to see whats working and what needs to change

google personal training software. I found some great program last month, tracked not only all you are asking but it would also track calories burnt based on what your activities entered were, and if you entered your goals it would plot out calories you needed to add or subtract, carbs, etc... did everything, but yes a little time consuming to enter it all. that laptop blew up and I have not searched it back out yet for this new one.
