There are a million brands but what should i look for in a quality massgaining powder? I imagine the less sugar the better but what should i really concern myself with?

I really like CytoGainer from CytoSport.

Has a nice balance of Pro, Carbs and Fat.

Tastes really good as well!

+1 All my shakes are currently based on this. It takes 4 scoops to make a full serving so you can adjust according to your caloric/macro needs. I'll take one scoop, 1/2 cup oatmeal, 1/4 cup flaxmeal, 1 scoop whey, mix in the blender and have a great meal replacement with perfect macros for me.

Make your own. It is cheaper and less fluff than the store bought variety. Two scoops of whey, 1 cup of ground oats, 1/2 cup of cottage cheese, 1 cup of milk, frozen strawberries, and one 1/2 can of pineapple in Splenda syrup. This taste like strawberry shortcake and is a very nutritionally dense meal replacement. Needto's cookbook has some very awesome shake recipes that would help you as well.

what he said. also if you really need to pack on the calories peanut butter or scoop of ice cream. the point of weight gainer is calories and your own weight gainer shake is going to be much more calorie dense than a processed weight gainer.
