Best way to open Amps?

need alittle help with some sust amps i got...glass goes everywhere on my first try...and whats the proper way to extract into syringe when using amps?

Go to the AF Store and get an amp opener.

If it didn't come with a score, you may want to use a butter knife to scratch around the glass where it is supposed to break, in order to make it easier to get a clean break. When you extract it, just stick the needle in and draw back. When it gets close to all of it being out, just tilt it a little to make sure you get it all.

I know you can buy amp openers but I am not exactly sure where....

I just take a sharp knife and score the amp with it, then hold the amp in your fist firmly, take my thumb and gently push on the top amp.... it usually pops off nice and smooth.

I just use a metal file and score around the entire amp. After that, I use a soft cloth and break with both hands, being VERY careful not to spill a drop.

Easiest way I've found it to go buy a tri file (for sawblades) and file around the neck. It comes right off after that. After you file, you can use a pen cap..put if over the top and snap it off. Breaks clean.

Just place a towel over the amp and break it. You do not need an opener. The towel will protect you hand from getting cut on the glass. You also almost always get a clean break because they are made to break at a certain point.
