LOL! I am the same way but I cant hunt. I love animals way too much. But I also like to eat them. Especially cows and buffalos. But I would be a vegetarian if I had to hunt for my own food. But I love to fish. Even fishing I feel bad whacking the lil trouts on there heads. Now I mostly just catch and release. Unless I am hungry for trout that day!

I was never able to put a bad/old pet down. My dog is getting old and I cringe at the thought of the decision that will come one day.

my buddy was a scout sniper with the marines for 6 years.

now he works at bed, bath, and beyond.

Why did he choose sniping? My interest is that it is an efficient method to close out a "bad guy."

he didn't really choose it. this guy is just a physical stud, so he blew everyone else away in basic training, got honor grad, and they asked him if he wanted to go to sniper school.

his response, 'uh, i guess?'

he said he had a lot of fun traveling all over the place, but he said being a sniper is not all it's cracked up to be. the majority of his time was working embassy duty and staring through his sights hour after hour, day after day.

he has no desire to go back to it, and, if you ask me, he is kind of embarassed about being one. he doesn't tell anyone, because he doesn't want people to get the wrong idea about him. he never killed anyone, nor did he ever want to. all he wanted to do was get out of the south.

he never went hunting as a kid, never (and still doesnt) owned a gun, and isn't too interested in any of that stuff. the only things he enjoys are barely legal chicks, drinking non-stop, and refusing to grow up.

Tboy you don't not have the ability to fly under the radar. The method, is not important. Not leaving a trace is, you would want people to know how and WHY.

Good explanation.

I knew of a Nam sniper who really seemed to relish it. He was the most effective in the platoon....spent all of his spare time cleaning his gun.

His platoon leader said he suspects the guy is "hanging out in water towers" today.

We were just b.s.'ing though.
