Best Time.......

I was wondering when the best time to work out is. Currently, I go to the gym four days a week. On Monday, I go after work, at 10:00pm. On Tuesday and Wednesday, I go in the morning at about 7:30am. Then on Thursday, I go at night again (10:00pm).

Does it matter what time you lift weights? Would it be better to do cardio in the morning and lift weights at night or vice versa? Just curious. Thanks for the help!

Usually around midnight is when people find the most muscle growth and strength. I've found that if I workout outside when the moon is out around midnight, I get incredibly swole and I'm able to lift some insane weights. But make sure you're chained to a tree.

I took your advice and chained myself to a tree. I was also naked (I thought it would be best without cloths). Right before I got arrested, a neighborhood dog pissed all over me. All in all, it was a great workout. Thanks!!!!:)

I think the best time is in the afternoon after you've put a lot of food in the tank but have a lot of energy...
I refuse to step foot into a gym around that time of day though :)
Morning is probably second best.. maybe best if you're cutting... late night is fat from ideal.. but you do what you gotta do.

The Best time is whenever you can consistently feel like it and most important
find the time to workout. Week in and week out. Be that 0500 am like me, or under the silvery moon at midnight.

I know I may feel better working out at 4 in the afternoon, but my schedule dictates that I can only do it at 5am.

10am. It's a magical hour when the gym fills with shuffling nursing home residents in high shorts and 1980's spandex. Hogging the 10lb DBs, complaining about the music and passing out on the treadmills.

The gym will probably be playing a medley of Sweating to the Oldies classics, and nothing gets you psyched to lift like a little Barry or Frank.

From what everyone is posting, I am guessing there is no difference in the time of day you work out. My worjout schedule is dictated by my work schedule and I was curious what time would be better, morning or night. I guess it doesn't matter as long as you get to the gym. Thanks!

ya' it doesn't matter what time you lift. I used to lift in the mornings but I'd fatigue rather quickly from being too tired, not focused, lazy, etc., so I switched it up to the evening after I get out of work where I'm more alert. Find out what time works best for you, even it is it midnight and you're chained to a tree  :chomp:

I actually find that I have the most energy around 11am and 10pm. Probably used to going out to clubs and dancing or something.

I wouldn't say there is a 'best time to workout'.it depends entirely on your schedule, three things that are seriously important though and that's consistency, drive and dedication imo.

as long as you have those three things I can't see any reason why you wouldn't be successful training.
