Best time for Shakes??

I used to take 5-10g's of creatine pre workout and again after.

post workout shake, post work out obviously. Any other time to replace a meal, make sure it's slow digesting protein.
 
There's different theories out there about when and how much (and with what to take creatine with), so I don't think there's really a single credited response. Kinda like the clomid during cycle versus after cycle thing, there's a number of different views, opinions, and claims.

A lot might depend on whether you run a loading phase. Those whole don't are usually taking 10g per day, which might be worth splitting. Those who do are usually running a maintenance of 5g which might not.

Since you are, supposedly, saturated once the 'cycle' is underway, timing really shouldn't be of any significance but I suggest you experiment with before/after workout and report back.
