Best rap song ever.

Bullit

Colon Cowboy
Platinum
Roll Out - Ludacris.

Unlike most rap, which plays itself out after about a month, I still bump this one all the time.

Yet your still in astonishment as to why you have all that extra time to assemble puzzles and play tetris on Saturday nights.

Aren't you like 34 and white? And don't you live in Calgary? Man, all those canadian cowboys must be awfully pissed at you for not following the trend.

Roll Out is a solid joint, but I can name better songs by Ludacris himself ("Southern Hospitality", "Stick Em Up")

When you're trying to pick the best EVER, you cant forget:
"Nuthin But a 'G' Thang" - Dr. Dre
"Triumph" - Wu-Tang Clan

Yeah .. and I used to make beats: www.mp3.com/nupanella

Another timless track: Bring the Noise - P.E.

A couple...

Follow the Leader - Rakim
So Many Tears - Pac
On More Chance - Biggie
My Philosophy - KRS-1
FreakyTales - 2Short
Gettin Funky - D.O.C.
6 In the Morning - Ice T

What are the lyrics to roll out? When I listened to it, allI could make out of the chorus was "Da bang tang bunnies...Dop Dat"..Over and over.

this is from memory...

twin glock 40's , cocked back
me and my homies, so drop that
rollin on 20's , with the top back
so much money, you cant stop that

Another great track: Snoop - Gin & Juice

Nuthin But a G Thang-- Dr. Dre

Gin & Juice-- Snoop DoGG

And of course 'Money, Cash, Ho's' by Jay-Z.

Not that its the best sone but its basically talking about my life. Its almost autobiographical.

yeah i think Luda is one of the best rappers, just because he sounds different from all the rest of them. but the song Roll out SUCKS!!!

best rapper of all time, too $hort, cocktales, freaktales, stepdaddy, hoes, pimp shit, player for life, what more could you want who could forget BLOW JOB BETTY

I'm very disappointed in some of these replies. Everyone is allowed their own opinion I guess, but damn.

Too Short is cool, but definitely NOT the greatest rapper ever. Not even close.

Some more 'classic' joints for you to download, you wont be disappointed:

- Virtually anything by Dr. Dre
- "Victory" - Do or Die
- "Hey Shawty" - Field Mob
- "All That I Got Is You" - Ghostface Killah
- "Thugz Mansion (acoustic)" - Nas
- "This Tha City" - Pastor Troy
- "Devil Without a Cause" - Kid Rock
- "Ante Up" & "Cold As Ice" - M.O.P.
- 90% of the Nappy Roots "Watermelon, Chicken, & Gritz" CD
- "Notorius Thugs" - Notorius B.I.G. feat. Bone Thugs
- "Always Into Somethin" & "Chin Check" - NWA
- "Rosa Parks" - Outkast
- Virtually anything by Tech N9ne
- "The Grand Finale" - The D.O.C. feat. NWA
- "Grand Finale" - DMX feat. Method Man

Also, no mention of 2pac?

DAmn.

Way back when (when MTV got me thinking rap was cool and the new thing and I must listen to it or become poo poo) I listened to Vanilla Ice, MC hammer, Public Enemy (fear of a balck planet album) and LL Cool J's momma said knock you out album. I listened to them over and over and over. I would still listen to them today because it is actually good, fun rap music.

I hear ya on the old school music, I used to like rap back in the day but now for the most part I can't stand it. With very few exceptions.

Nas ruined Thugz Mansion IMO, I cant stand the mans voice and this revolutionary bullshit he is on is getting old.

Otherwise I'm in agreement except I'd add

50 cent - how to Rob (funny as hell)
Tupac - Me Against the World.
Tupac - Hail Mary
Sticky Fingaz anything off AOKJ, great record.

"Hell on Earth"-MobbDeep

Somebody mentioned "Fight the Power"-PE Yep, that's a good one too.

Whomever said 50 cent should be shot. Greatest song of all time??? He's been mainstream for what?? a week now??? Please. You're the type of person who thought the macarena was the greatest song ever when it came out. loser :)

That Ahmad version is like an R&B song with singing, the Trick Daddy song is different and 5x better.

Duritz, 50 Cent has had shit coming out for like 2-3 years. I downloaded Wanksta like 6 months ago (I've heard the song has been out for over a year).

What no Ghetto Boy's? no Scarface? no Brotha Lynch Hung? no House of Pain? Cypress Hill?

Jump Around is a true classic, still gets played all the time. I read it was one of the most popular NYE songs ever.

Ain't Going Out Like That is a great Cypress track.

DURSHITZ - my knowledge goes back more than 10 years (BTWBring the Noise was around 86 which is over 15 yrs ago) but most stuff older than that sucks.
