best pre workout meal

i got these BBQ rib sandwiches from sams club. OMFG there unreal and they sit just right in my stomach for my workout !!!
 
I personally recommend foods that are easy to digest:

I like to eat:

couple of boiled eggs
1 cup of oatmeal
1 banana
16 fl oz. of gatorade

I have a meal 1 hr 15 minutes before my workout.

Training on a full stomach is not good. . . . .most of the blood and other bodily fluids are concentrated on digestion rather than engorging the muscles.

Would you eat a couple of sandwiches right before you go on a long run? I think not.

They sit in your stomach during your workout because your body isn't focused on digestion.

I usually go with oatmeal and a shake, about 2 hours before the workout
 
I'll eat 1/2 of oatmeal, and usually some bacon, eggs and toast. Gives me lots of energy. Or I'll have a small meal and oatmeal. I have to avoid things like luncheon meats, which give me serious heartburn.
 
Some oatmeal and a whey shake 1/2 to 1 hour pre wo. I`m still contemplating the whey or caisene shake though. I don`t know which is better pre wo.

Remember my man. . .you have all day to eat. . .plenty of time to visit the local buffet;) .

i wouldnt say a full stomach, its just satisfied, i dont feel weighed down, but im not at all hungry.

sorry-- but if I ate that before my workout-- it would be on the gym floor... LOL!
 
I eat either:

1 family size can of baked beans
1 can of yams
2 boiled eggs

or

1.5 cups of rice
1 beagal
can of tuna

Oh yeah, this is me, especially on leg day. I eat 1/2 cup oatmeal with a scoop of Cytodyne Cytopro protein powder mixed in about an hour before my workout.

You and I think alike.:)

I have 3-4 eggs, 1/2 cup oatmeal (measured dry) and a boatload of water about 1 hour before I workout. Fills me just right for my workout.

thats cool. . . when I say 2 cups of oatmeal that includes the water.

I think that this meal is easy to digest.
