gatorade and powerade are full of sugars and fillers. I am not sure why people think they actually do a good job of hydrating. actually I do know, millions of dollars of advertising where people think athletes drink that shit lol. it would be like drinking a glass of water along with 2 tablespoons of pure sugar.
best way to re-hydrate is good ole water.. get an ionizer you can plug up to your sink and you are g2g
Gatorade/powerade are absolutely loaded with sugar. They are basically a non-carbonated soft drink with some salt added in. Unless you are a marathon runner or an athlete exercising 2+ hours in duration, you do not need electrolyte drinks. Your electrolyte levels will be replenished throughout the day by eating a well balanced diet full in fruits/vegetables (for potassium) and sea salt (for sodium).
It is a marketing scam by powerade/gatorade to try and convince people that they need these sports drinks. Coke and Pepsi own powerade and gatorade. They are basically just non carbonated soft drinks.
