Gucci...Envy

SEX IN A BOTTLE
this is the italian sportscar of colognes, gotten more compliments from the ladies than any other cologne i own. smooth, sleek and musky, you can either go light or heavy and it still won't overpower. i'll keep buying this one for life.

YUMMMMM
One day my guy friend wore ENVY and I just wanted to grab him and kiss him - gentlemen, you should definitely buy this scent if you want to get women's attention.

Girls loves this scent. Very classy, sexy and lasts all day. Probably best scent from Gucci. One of my "Best Buy".

FELLAS; THE NEXT TIME YOU HIT THE CLUB, WEAR THIS FABULOUS SCENT. WHEN THE LADIES GET A WHIFF OF THIS ON YOU AND ON HANG ON YOUR EVERY LIMB, YOU'LL BE THE "ENVY" OF EVERYONE IN THE SPOT!!!!! AND THAT'S FOR SURE.

I am a fragrance collector. I have over 20 bottles of colognes. Out of those 20, Envy is the number one cologn. It is so sexy. whenever I wear it I feel so manly and elegant. GOOOOOOOOOOO for it. If you don't have this one, you are missing whole a lot.

This is one of the finest cologne's on the market. A European treat of lust and romance is embodied upon the possessor. Adore it and severly recommend it. Thank you Gucci.

Sounds about right. It is very musky, and has strong staying power. A little will go a long way.

IMO, if a cologne does not last 5 hours or more, it is not worth and usually indicates that it is cheap.

Were you talking about Le Male?

Le Male
by Jean Paul Gaultier

Since Jean Paul Gaultier's first men's collection, he has shown men that they can indulge in the forbidden, and that a kilt or dress can be worn with virility. A reminder to them that nothing in life is totally black or white but always a blend. Just as he made the woman in a corset as the symbol and bottle of his feminine fragrance, Jean Paul Gaultier now transforms the man in a sailor's T-shirt into both the symbol and bottle of Le Male. Notes include Wormwood, Bergamot, Cardamom, Lavender, Orange Blossom, Cinnamon, Cumin, Wood, Musk, Amber, Vanilla, Tonka Bean.

This is the most awesome men's fragrance ever, I love when my husband wears it, I just want to jump him.......Men, take my advice, get this one, you won't be sorry...

One of the best male fragrances, and all women I know rave about it.

It smells great and lasts for a long time. if you havent got it i suggest you get it.you will see the difference.

I have to say, I get turned on when I get the JP smell! My boyfriend always gets the "ur smelling fine tonight" line by any girls he chats to!! Def one I'd recommend to any bloke.

Hot babes think this is manly,

distinctive & totally captivating...whenever I get a whiff of it I find myself inching closer to the guy wearing it just to breathe in the scent...NO other cologne has done that in recent memory (aside from YSL Jazz waaaaay back

THIS STUNNING SCENT JUST PUTS WOMEN IN A NICE TRANCE WHEN THEY SMELL IT. IT'S LIKE A DREAM THEY NEVER WANT TO WAKE UP FROM....................JEAN-PAUL..........TAKE US(THE LADIES) AWAY................

Yep thats it. Le Male and Envy are my favorites. Any girl would agree. But there not traditional so you have to be something to pull them off...Ang

I do not know about the "they can indulge in the forbidden, and that a kilt or dress can be worn with virility. A reminder to them that nothing in life is totally black or white but always a blend."

But, Joop and other stuff is what you might call feminine. The thing is, women love it and you would have to be a man to pull it off.

You could call it using opposites. For example, when I dress casually, I like to use a sophisticated cologne like Egotiste Platinum. To me, this indicates will I am dressing casually and neatly, I am sophisticated. Conversely, when I am dressing more conservative, I might use Cool Water which tones down the dress and I think women think rich, but a dude who goes to the beach.

So in essence, by using an opposite of what you are, you are toning down a certain trait or better yet, exuding MULTIPLE traits and implanting MANY subliminal images and messages which is what dress and smelling good is all about.

i really like Calvin Klein's Eternity ;) Drives me nuts

My wife and others really like my new Black by Kenneth Cole

Yeah Im with Season....Issey Miyake is awesome stuff....My boy has it and even I love the smell of it...Right now im using D&G, i used a lot of other stuff...heres my choices:

1.Issey Miyake
2.D&G
3.Very Sexy for Men by victorias secret <---girls friggin love this on guys
4.Aqua Di Gio
5.Curve<---another ladies favorite

My favorite of all time that I was given the most compliments and girls I knew that would come up to me and say they thought of me when they smelled it was Nautica Super Spray. It was Nautica, but a stronger scent, they dont make it anymore but that sh*t was the bomb....definitely helped with the ladies...if anybody knows of a place that still carries it, let me know!!!!!!!!!! and get if for yourself, you wont be disappointed!!!!!!!

Thanks for the recommendations. There are some classics there but some other ones I have not heard of and I am going to check out further.

I just went out and bought Allure by Chanel (scent lasts 12 hours, no shit). Pretty sophisticated, sensual kick ass scent.

Customer reviews:

This has got to be one of the sexiest scents out there! What a perfect name,"Allure". It is a scent that will make men take notice of whoever is wearing this fabulous perfume.
This cologne is a superb blend of everything that women like. I got many compliments on it the first day I wore it.
Decent scent at first spray. give it a couple hours, maybe 4, and this thing just smells great on the skin - esp. after a night with the ladies. Every man needs some woody and dry fragrances such as Polo and Gucci, but you also need the sweet stuff for nights w/ the ladies. Allure and Marc Jacobs are the top two.
This is by far the most elegant appealing sophisticated men's cologne ever. just go for it. You won't regret buying it.
Long lasting, and sweet smelling. Might be a little to sensual for some. Meaning, it's soft and feminine. If you need a strong manly cologne look elsewhere. However, women do love this one..a winner for those who like softer colognes.
your're absolutely right!! agua di gio and allure - these are to colognes that make female heads turn aroud when you're walking by. try them and you wont get disappointed
i've always been loyal to Aqua di gio, by armani, however i decided to finda new scent, not that i didn't love Aqua di gio, it's an awesoem scent!!! but, Allure is too, a very capable alternative, very soft, vanilla scent to start off as the first note, then dies down to a citrus note, and last a ceder note in the third phase. Amazingly, this cologne has excellent endurance, and last for a good 12 hours, after dates, waking up in the mornin, the scent was still there...perfect!! so overall, if you're lookin for a distinguishing fragrance, you got it, it's allure by chanel! many men don't use this cologne, due to the "feminine" brand, but don't be fooled, designed by a generally women brand, so that it attracts women in return, women kno what they want, and they put it all into this little bottle! enjoy.....and regards
girls love the scent its so warm and sweet. I have been using it for about 4 or 5 years and I never get tired of it.
It's absolutely great. It starts off rather harsh, but on the dry down, it gets sweeter and actually smells somewhat like candy. It's gentle and sensuous. I don't think it smells like it's for old men, either; I've received compliments from plenty of girls (I'm in my teens). Wear it in the cooler/colder months and it'll be perfect.
Allure is just what a man needs to make those classy ladies' heads turn.
CHANEL ALLURE IS ONE OF THE BEST FRAGRANCES ON THE MARKET. IT OPENS UP AS VANILLA SPICE PERFUME, LASTS FOREVER . VERY ELEGANT & SOPHISTICATED........DRIES DOWN TO A VERY FRENCH POWDERY SCENT. IF YOU LIKE VANILLA TYPE FRAGRANCE, ALLURE HAS NO EQUAL.....ONE OF MY FAVORITES.....AS FOR THE PERSON WHO COMPARED THIS TO BOSS IN MOTION....'YOU CAN'T BE ANY MORE DEAD WRONG.....IN-MOTION HAS AN ORANGEY TYPE OF SCENT"
Out of every cologne i have worn, this takes the toll..... every women i meet admire my cologne...even a sexy dentist ;) who told me my cologne was alluring.. eh eh.. haha u guys should try it.... its the best in my opinion.. no doubt about it...
Elegant and classy. A+
I love this scent. It is sexy, irresistible and it melts my heart esp. when my hubby wears it.
Allure is great! A sweet but clear fragrance also very elegant, perfectly mixed by all components, very enjoyable! Longlasting, pleasant drydown.
This is a must have for every man of mystery. Allure is soo captivating and is very hard to resist...
A smooth , sexy fragrance for that sexy you....
Girls drive crazy when they are near me, soooooo near me.Then want to be more...
I just luv it when I smell this fragrance its certainly one that entices passion. Its a very sexy, classy scent. I would receommend this to all men. I just luv it when my husband has Allure on
This fragrance rates amongst the best. It works wonders in the club however it loses its allround ness cuase it cant be use on dates as such but its great in the club and its lasts all night.
Bought it in Paris when it was first introduced, and have used since. Women LOVE it !!!!!
Smells luxury....pure luxury!Very long lasting luxury!!!!!!!
It's so sensual, classy, long lasting but not overpowering. It's for sophisticate person, not for teen.
allure is one of the best colognes on the market. It has a slight spiciness mixed with some vanilla-like undertones. Women love it!
I was in Vegas and smelled this for the first time and had to have all the men in my home wearing it. My husband wears it now and so does my 24 year old son. They tell me they get so many compliments on it. It is a very classy, passionate smell.
Allure is the sexiest cologne that I have ever smelled. It is not overpowering, but still lasts the day. It is a very classy scent that is spicey, but not old-fashioned. My husband has used many different colognes, but as long as Allure for men is available, he will not use any other. It is positively delicious!
This is my favorite cologne to smell on my husband... the first time he wore it it made my mouth literally water it has a slight spiciness to the scent but it doesn't smell old fashioned like most colonges with spice to them
This cologne is a superb blend of everything that women like. I got many compliments on it the first day I wore it.

I wear either: Esencia by Loewe, which is made in Spain and not available here except through an importer, or French-made Egoiste (not Platinum) by Chanel.

Egoiste plat smells like dogshit compared to the original Egoiste and the french-made parfum is of higher quality than the domestic stuff. I must seriously question the taste of some of the contributors to this thread if they like Egoiste Plat.

Egoiste is definitely "me" in terms of its scent matching sort of my overall "way." Esencia is a very sophisticated scent. But, I never wear that much at any rate. The good thing about the EU-made perfume is that it doesn't wear off as quickly. French-made Egoiste I will still be smelling 8 hours or more later, and I only give one squeeze on the spray top.

That is your opinion about Platinum. I researched Egotiste and compared to Platinum, it is shit. That is the consensus. But if you like it, good for you.

I researched and the consensus is that you and your friends have no taste.

How did you "research" Egoiste since they don't sell it anymore?

And, of COURSE it was my goddamned opinion!

I have no idea why I'm a sucker for a guy wearing it, but Givenchy Pi grabs me by the legs and won't let go. Normally I hate 'sweet' scents, but that one is to my nose what Bon Bons are to a middle-aged couch mom. :)

Tommy (Hilfiger) is a really nice cologne. I've gotten nothing but compliments on it. One lesbian told me she was going to start wearing it after she smelled it on me. Yes she wears men's cologne. Cool Water was her prefered cologne.

Best cologne every was the old hugo boss from 1995. They stopped making though..

Now I wear the newer version, which is really good, girls love smelling your neck with it...

lol i was just thinking about PACO RABONE (sp?) they sell like 2 liters at macys for $10...

Funniest cologne!!!

These are the tops in my collection:

1) Egotiste Platinum (called by a few women "orgasm in a bottle."
2) PI
3) Aqua Di Gio
4) Cool Water

I like the smell of Allure by Chanel, D&G Masculine and Tommy on my guy

Dude Drakkar is the best. I find it appeales to younger and more mature women. It always gets brought up on the way home with a girl. So I defenately recommend it for smells even though its not the most important part of the night.

here's an idea

try getting something original so every women doesn't think you smell like her ex boyfriend. whoever is spouting off about tommy and polo...get out of the fucking 80's. Aqui de gio is good, but old...everyone has it. that was the problem with the old hugo boss. go to a top end store like bloomingdales etc and get something more original. it may cost more, but wouldn't you like to be memorable. anyone can get gucci or DG. go with a paul smith or a marc jacobs or something not so mainstream. i know bloomingdales has scents only it can sell, so this will help ensure that you're an original and not smelling like every other guy in the bar.

Armania Mania.......

shit has got me laid more than once, and one chick bought it for herself to spray on her pillows when i couldnt exude my essence in person..... HA!

Cool thread.
I like cool water, but actually the davidoff coolwater liquid shower gel is even better than the cologne. I'll try some of the other colgne's posted here when I have the cash :)

I like your style Miss24k.

I am into Burberry Brit now.

Something else I am doing. Buying and wearing Gold and Diamonds (rings, bracelets, and yo, yes necklace).

It trips girls out when you talk to a babe and move your hand in front of her during the conversation and she see diamonds and gold. Sublimely, it makes her hot, my goal is to make her think "hot body, well dressed, good looking, great smelling and rich." The diamonds and gold obtain the latter impression. :)

YES!!! Now if only I could find a man to buy it for again.

Gaultier - LeMan makes me want to do dirty dirty things. Armanni is good too, but hands down, Gaultier is HOT! (I wear the womens in the winter time, drives me wild!)

That Girl!

I like LeMan as well.
My view:
Only spend money on a smell which is kick asss and unique.
Gaultier fits the bill and girls like it as you affirmed yourself.

Problem:
Does not last along time.

Use:
For those activities which last less then a half an hour.
It does the job quite well.

About it not lasting long, just a nice little spritz on your shirt (from a distance so ya don't have that yucky cologne stain) and it lasts allll day.

I am currently wearing Diesel Plus Plus....smells so yummy

Very expensive and very hard to find, but Creed's Green Irish Tweed is great stuff. It's very unique. I've never had so many people ask what I'm wearing.

Ranked #1 by GQ mag in 2001. (Acqu di Gio was #2)

-GG

1)Issey MIYAGI however you spelled ,2) D&G this women here in Miami call it Baja Panties which means (drop them panties lol), 3)Acqu di Gio, 4) Pleasures by Ester Lauder all these are the ones everyone should have on stock! and I just bought Gucci Rush for guys stuff is awesome ladies love it!. Ohh yeah I get them a discount price at the Flea Market from a guy from India lol!! get for like 25 to 35 bucks each! and yes they are real no fakes!! lol

i'm gonna have to say my #1 is emporio "white" by armani!!! i bought some in italy a couple years back it's the only cologne i've used that lasts all damn day which is a huge plus!! they have alot of good stuff at scentiments.com! (it wouldn't let me insert the link for some reason) they have that stuff someone was talking about... the irish tweed i think he said.

my runners up are swiss army, tommy, curve and lucky if it didn't wear off so fast...

www.perfumeemporium.com is a very good site especially the comments made by the buyers but is there anyway you can see which fragrance is rated the top?

You read my mind. Burryberry Touch and Brit. I believe Touch is better then Brit. Fairly similar. Also Joop, its distinct and is the longest lasting cologne I have used.

http://www.perfumeemporium.com/mens/index.cfm

Look on the bottom right for top rated. IMO, I would not buy them because they have so few reviews.

I have these bookmarked:

For what it is worth. If you are starting your collection here is how I would build it:

1) Egotiste Platinum - Smell like "James Bond". For getting pussy pure and simple, if you want a girl to want to go to bed with you, use this. Some girls call it "Orgasm in a Bottle". Nuff said.
2) Joop - Similar intent. Smell like sweet flowers. To get a girl in bed.
3) Burberry Touch - Great for jeans/casual wear.
4) Dolace Gabanna - Smell "rich". Great for golddiggers.
5) Hugo Boss - Great for the gym.

Cost $300

Backups:
Pi Givency for Touch
Eternity for Egotiste Platinum
Cool Water or Aqua Di Gio for Hugo Boss
Burberry Brit for Touch
Joop has no alternative
.

It also depends. I like D&G, and Kenneth Cole NY. But once I had Drakkar Noir on and I'm hanging out with my friend Heather and she is all up on me and says
"God, Drakkar makes me so wet." :verygood: I was like...goddamn. I've been using that much more often and it seems like a winner

Yup, Drakkar rocks as well!
Great scent...
:)

I have cool water, it is pretty good.

My to get list is:

Gucci - Envy
Issey Miyake - L'eau D' Issey
Dolce and Gabbana - D&G
Burberry Touch - Burberry
Chrome - Loris Azzaro
Pi - Givenchy
The Dreamer - Versace
Bvlagri - Bvlagari
Bellegio - Michaelangelo
Platinum Egoiste - chanel
Aqua Di Gio - Armani
Green Irish Tweed - Creed
Curve - Liz Claiborne

(I know it's a big list, but it's like shoes and t-shirts. Always could use another one)

I had drakar and platinum egoiste. Both very good scents. I threw out the Joop. I was going to give it to one of my friends but they didn't like it either.

I have eternity, safari, realm, 360 by perry ellis, emporio armani, cool water. All very good stuff.

I like think obession sucks too.

A lot of people like to get the (newest scent) but I say go with what works for you the best even if it has been around for awhile. After all, if it has been around for awhile, then there is a reason for it.

Fistful of Steel.

Nice list. I would 86 the Curve. It is cheap shit. I had the opportunity to buy a gift set (including a 3.4oz bottle of Tollette) for under $20. After I tested it out, it was not worth it (think of opportunity costs).

ok, the curve is out like yesterday's newspaper

Alright,just picked up a few from http://store.yahoo.com/theperfumespot/index.html

Excellent service,prices,and a 3 day turnaround.Can't beat that.Picked up Gucci Envy,FCUK,D & G,Davidoff Coolwater.My opinions:

Gucci Envy-Sort of has an annoying aftersmell to me.But definitely a macho scent.

D & G-Sort of the same, not as bad,but STRONG-You can smell this stuff from across the room.

FCUK-Smells decent, not as strong as the above two,and a little cleaner scent overall IMO.

Davidoff Coolwater-Probably my favorite out of these four.Cleanest smelling.Very pleasing aroma.

All in all,Acqua Di Gio still stands out as my favorite from all these.

I've gotten quite a few compliments on D&G Masculine

Hands down.......D&G cologne will have women more eager to flirt!

In college I get girls from all demographics who like this cologne. Had even a few come up and ask what I'm wearing......and it goes from there.

Chicks who you'd never think would like a guy like me......emo chicks, preppy chicks, religious mormon chicks.......:xeye:

You should definitely like Green Irish Tweed then.

Make sure you spray the cologne on body parts and not on your clothes. I think somebody wrote it here that the best body parts are neck, right behind your ear and along the side of your neck and the inside of your wrists. I like one spray on the chest too. So if a chick has her head on your chest, then you will be thanking me.

I still go with classics like safari, I put some on about 4 weeks ago and I received a compliment that I smelled really good and she asked what it was. Then she asked if she could keep my shirt. LOL.

Looks like I am adding to the list

Jean Paul Gaultier - Le Male
Dunhill - Dunhill
Hugo - Hugo Boss
Joop Nightflight - Joop
Herrera - Carolina Herrera
Polo Sport - Ralph Lauren

1 - Aqua
2 - Truth - has patchouli oil...shown to be the most effective at raising womens hormones

I think it's a matter of YOU as well as the cologne......

Women associate smells with feelings and senses.....if they already think you're attractive, the cologne can add or subtract from those attributes.

D&G works better than anything for me......it's hard for me to believe women love this scent so much.....
