What would you all say are some of the best books on Muay thai and BJJ for a beginner? I just want to see what the best books out there are and see what i might like to get into.

For BJJ Royler and Renzo Gracie's book. For no-gi Royler's submission grappling. Not sure about Muay Thai.

I agree. The whole Invisible Cities Press series written by Kid Pelegro and featuring Royler, Renzo, JJ Machado, Carlson Gracie etc...Are awesome high quality books!!

Add 'Mastering The Rubber Guard' by Eddie Bravo. It's very different than any martial art book I've read. It delves into Eddie's personal philosophies not only on jiu-jitsu, but other facets of life and he shows how they are both intimately intertwined. The techniques presented flow logically and are different then anything else you will find. It is much better than Eddie's prior project, 'Jiu-jitsu Unleashed'
