Best/best value for multivitamin

Synpax

Well-known member
Hey,

I like the GNC Megamans but they are very expensive. Are there any multivitamins that are better than the GNCMs? Are there any that are as good or better but cost less?

Right now I am using a knock off generic from GNC that isn't nearly as good as GNCs but is close.

GNC is shit--look for Metagenics Multigenics Formula (slightly expensive but the best quality of vits on the market) or try a liquid vit (again expensive but they absorb very well)....remember the cheap multi vits are the worse they are poorly assimulated (most of the time). If you buy $10 multi vits and 90% of the tab goes right through your system, it is worthless--so spend a little more--it is worth it. Also, if you eat a lot of assorted vegetables (5-10 servings per day) you will not need a multi. You will get all the vits you need from the vegetables (as long as they are not cooked to shit or old--buying fresh organic is the best)....Good Luck.

Actually, the only thing I really like are their multi-vitamins...

* AST Multi Pro 32x
* Optimum Nutrition Opti-Men
* Beverly Int'l Multi's

They are all time released multi's

:supercool

I made this post a few weeks ago,
that nobody commented on ....

Anyone heard of Andrew Lessman's Maxium Complete multi vit?? I saw this guy on the HSN, and his infomercial sold me on this product, just bought the Mens Multi (approx $50bucks) and the world health CoEnzyme Q-10 Powerful anti oxidant(aprox $40) , a little pricey but i just started a 2month supply. Anyone take these b4? I would love to know if I got yanked or if im taking the most powerful anti-oxidant on the planet, as said by the company. I mean this stuff does have 200% of like everything in it, and this guys big on berry extracts as anti-oxidants, which is also what ive been lead to belive so..... I also looked into SeaSilver with the Aloe thing??? anyone try that?....

So far ive no complaints.....

Yeah which product are u talking about? they make like 100 vitamin types! whats the best antioxiadant on the market??? or something combined e. multi/antioxidant??

buy some cheap ones, crush them, and cap them. absorb a whole lot better cheaper that way. (probably would take some searching on the best cheap one with decent forms of each vitamin)

Vit E+C
Super B-Complex
Calcium citrate+D
Mag citrate
Potassium Citrate
Zinc (maybe)

rest of vits and microelements get from your diet - otherwise no one even knows what all those metals (molybdenum, copper, boron, etc....WTF????? I know some of these are used to make lightbulbs and computer chips/circuits, so, um, yea) in mcg quantities do for you anyways :o

Thats the problem Juve, most people DON'T eat good foods and there fore NEED a vitamin like I described. As for you lack of knowledge about the metals in our bodies and the need for them you must study.

I would like to forward my grattitude for your sentimental concern pertaining to the manner in which I am to utilize my time. Would you like to insinuate a path I should adopt towards exploring the mechanism of body-metal symbiosys as it seems to be such a paramount matter?
Hey, maybe I will grow a pair of cyborg legs, and have a red light in a place of my pupils????

my jeans are super-tight :o

preaching to supplement and not make an effort to change your habits is pretty contradictory to the reason why one would even take a MVM.

that being said, im for sure in favor of supplementing with a daily MVM.

i dont think anything with regards to chelating is difficult to understand.

I'm not even going to contest any of this absurd. You can't substantiate the reason for taking 5mcg of Tin, and 10mcg of Silicon and some other crap packed into commercial vits (in such small quantities what is it supposed to do/or not do?), yet you feel insistent on not providing any (at least some basic) explanation as to their pharmakinetics/biological function? I seem to be faring rather well on my vit/microelement stack, and can attest to its efficacy, and by no means am requiring you give up your precious multivits.

Oh, and as for the dietary microelement deficiency, hahahah, now who's problem is that really??

I don't need to substantiate anything. The professionals who formulated the vitamin know through many man yeasr of study what is needed and how the body uses it.
It's unfortunate that there are people like you with your silly pictures with nothing better to do than Flame on the internet. But It really does not matter one whit what you think or say, There are many people who will benefit from this supplement.

flame? silly pictures? hahahahaha....

In all my history of being a member of EF I have not even once flamed another member; as for a silly picture - it is called an avatar :o

The professionals who formulated the vitamin know through many man yeasr of study what is needed and how the body uses it.

you know nothing of the people who formulated these supplements, their intentions, other than financial pursuit, and the alleged benefit of consuming compounds (metallic salts) efficacy of which is yet to be demonstrated/corroborated.

There are many people who will benefit from this supplement.
This is extremely far-fetched; see above :o

As for you sir, some lithium orothate into that metallic concoction - that should keep you off the boards :martini:...

by the way: this is an argument, not a flame :rainbow:

well, that last line may have been a flame.

OK Jucedpigtails contrary to the babble posted by Juve earlier, the vitamin represented in my website was formulated by a team of scientists for the company that is marketing it. The research that the team used to create this formula was done by doctors and scientists (ALL THIRD PARTY) from all over the world over many years time. The research represents over 100 man years. All of this information is on the site and if you click on each link at the bottom of the main page (vitamins, Minerals, Probiotics ETC) you will be able to read about each section. At the bottom of each section is a list of references available to the public. These refrences as you will see are not the words of the formulators but that of many other people. I hope this will provide you with enough reading to satisfy your interest.

Solgar V-something
Life extension (though expensive)
Solaray Spectro

I have never seen anyone with red karma on the boards like Mark.

Anyway, I got some good leads. I need to get just about all my vitamins from a pill. I even get about all my sodium from an NaCl pill, too.

So again, thanks for the leads.

Hands down Animal pack is the best on the market not only do they provide high doses for bodybuilders/ athletes, they also have digestive enzymes and EFA's to help you absorb the vitamins more efficiently. Has come down in price alot too you can get about 45 packs for 18$
