If you have male pattern baldness in your genes then it's inevitable regardless of what you use, but you should stay away from winstrol and high doses of testosterone. If you take test, you can try using propecia with it to inhibit DHT. Unfortunately the roids that will get you big fast are also the ones that will give you problems up there. Primobolan would be my choice at 600mg/week .

Actually, Primo can be very hard on hair. It causes an overall thinning of the hair, that seems different than the effects of other steroids. My vote goes to doing a test/EQ cycle with some Propecia thrown in for good measure.

Finestride/Deutestride + Moderate Test = good on hair

Finestride/Deutestride + Deca or Tren = disaster on hair

Winny = the frigging DEVIL on my hair

I've heard EQ is good on hair as is Anavar. Going to test those next!

Like stated above if your prone to mpb, using gear will only speed up the process. Just weigh the pros and cons and form a decision if it's woth your giving uop your hair to acheive your weight lifting goals. I'm prone to mpb and I remember in the begining trying to choose hair friendly cycles while taking all sorts of steps in preventing my hair to fall out(nizoral, spiro, etc...). In the end it may have slowed the process, but that's all it did. The enevitable is the enevitable. Nothing wrong with a nice clean shaved head.

Is it because of their high tendency to bind to AR's?

I'm not sure why winny is so nasty on my noggin. My best guess (and remember, it's only a guess) is that because it's DHT-based and 5AR blockers like propecia can't touch it, it gives the guys with true MBP hell. But also, because it's water-based and so fast-acting in the blood (i.e. 9 hour half-life) I think it also causes Tellogen Effluvium from all those ramp-up/ramp-down hormonal changes. Therefore, even someone not susceptable to MBP might shed, but someone with MBP will shed and suffer permanent losses as well.

Without a 5AR blocker, deca and tren are supposed to be decent on hair. Deca is hard on follacles, but fortunately it gets reduced to DHN in the scalp (which is easier on follacles). Problem is if you take a 5AR blocker like propecia, these compounds become hair-unfriendly again.

One other passing thought on test and MPB... DHT is a real hair-killer for those prone to MPB, but the combination of estrogen + DHT is death twice over on follacles. When in doubt, I'm going to run pretty agressive amounts of Arimidex to stop aromitization as well as run Propecia to stop the conversion to DHT.

Ya I knew DHT derivatives were hard on hair. I don't know much about winny so I didn't know it was. So if you don't take a 5-alpha reductace inhibitor whili on tren, then it's better for your hair? I'm planning on tren for my next cycle so I want to know EVERYTHING!
