living in the fast life of wrestling / star - brings in a lot of the negatives like rec drugs..
when you get beaten up regularly and damage things like kidneys and liver from blunt force trauma with regularity, you run the risk of them not operating at capacity as well.

This is the AP report as published on detnews.com (Detroit News):

DECATUR, Georgia -- Investigators said Tuesday they had found steroids and other drugs in the body of pro wrestler Chris Benoit, who killed his wife and young son last month before hanging himself.

Besides steroids, Benoit's body contained the anti-anxiety drug Xanax and the painkiller hydrocodone, according to a statement from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. The GBI said Benoit tested negative for blood alcohol.

Benoit's wife, Nancy, tested positive for Xanax, hydrocodone and the painkiller hydromorphone.

The son, Daniel Benoit had Xanax in his system, the agency said. The GBI said it could not perform tests for steroids or human growth hormones on the son because of a lack of urine.

It just furthers my point about mis-information. We'll never see the retraction on the website.

Thety categorized testosterone as a steroid.

CNN had the story live, chances are the AP story was prepped beforehand. They do that a lot, that is why they have so many detractions.

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070717/ap_on_re_us/wrestler_dead Note they do not name any steroid, but are very detailed about other drugs in the system.

In addition, the time he took and pre-meditation to sedate the family while killing them is not impulsive as the myth of roidrage suggests. Then he placed bibles next to each body.

actually that medical examiner is one of the best. the speculation will come from totally ignorant people.

While I do not care to call steroids safe, I have not ever seen a case of roidrage ever. I may get tense, and I'll be honest, I am a total bastard, but usually on cycle, I am the most congenial son of a bitch this side of the nut house.

CNN is acting semi-responsibly saying that steroids are not to blame and roidrage is not all it is cracked up to be, then they switch to eddie guerro and talk about health effects.

From what I read, the examiners official statement said that the dosage of test (levels 10 times normal) had no bearing on what transpired, nor could it be concluded that the actions were from steroid use.
