I pose this one question...if god exists, how can there be so many different and totally opposite interpretations of him or them? Who's religion is wrong? Who's is right? The fact is, they are all wrong. God doesn't exist.

If the universe exists, how can there be so many different and totally opposite interpretations of how it got here? Who is wrong, who is right? The fact is, they are all wrong. The universe does not exist.

See how stupid that logic is?

you don't have to agree with poeple's decision to believe in god just respect the fact they have an opinion, most people don't

The world was once flat also!

No, people way back then thought the world was flat, but the world never was. Same with God, people think he exists, but he doesn't.

Furthermore it is proven that the world is NOT flat, but it is never proven god exists.

But if it makes you feel better, go ahead.

good point Jeff

True :)

But if it makes you feel better, go ahead.

That's the conclusion I came to, also. :)

for those who blame God for your misfortunes and those who say he let you down. blow it out your wind pipe. how can you expect him to bless you when you mock and curse him. the reason you get let down is because you build you hopes up that you will get what you want right then. that aint gonna happen. God for one will not grant you anything if you are going to put that before him, in other words that becomes a god to you. God answers prayers he answers them when the time is right. people think he'll give them a cushy life with no problems, too many people stop following him for the fact that things get hard or bad and they expect God to make things right immediately. not gonna happen most of the time. trials and tribulations are tests of faith and if you keep trusting him you will be blessed and get through the hard times and even excell past where you were. things are hard for me right now. i've been out of work for a week and a half and my money is almost gone. i got my last paycheck today and that will help plus i go back to work this week. i am suffering axiety and frustration over this, no, because i know he is seeing me through this. i've been budgeting my money better which i think he has helped me do and i'm able to get back to work. my recovery was slow i a sence but i think he used that time i had off for me to reflect where i stand and i realized i had to make some changes in my life in order for me to serve him better. i've made a few and the others will come over time. God works in mysterious ways and I love him for it. he's awsome and Jesus was cool as can be. just read the new testament and watch how he always outsmarted those trying to catch him in a trap or kill him. it'll make you say ooooooh you just got dealt with, and laugh about it or you may jsut say yep he told that guy or whatever. you'll see. i respect everyone's beliefs but you have no right to bash me for mine or bash my religion. i don't bash you for your beliefs. it's only fair.

Jeff-----I was saying the world was flat in the same context as you wrote. Without having to write it out. I thought that one could apply common sense!

Didn't you start out in this post saying for some to blow it out your windpipe..That sounds like bashing to me because someone may be blaming god(as there belief)

wombat, that is not bashing, that is a way of saying i don't want to hear your complaining. that is what it is complaining not a belief system or religion. it's blaming others, in this case God, for your troubles or let downs. people need to re-examin themselves and see where they went wrong and/or how they can make it better. i was'nt intending to be polite nor rude more of to show my frustration with people always blaming God for stuff, it's rediculous.

oh, helen's right, dude, you bumped this thread.

Why is it that when someone is having something "good" happen to them, they will say thank you god---blah-blah -blah---but when something "bad" is going on in ones life --people say don't you dare blame god. Its not his fault----I don't by that!

That is actually a great point. I have never thought about that and I am guilty of it at times I am sure. Thanks again Wombat for enlightening

A classic problem facing theology Wombat!!

Fanatics tend to claim that God has given us free will - and this essentially absolves him of responsibility for the evil things we do to each other...

...but the notion of free will does not explain natural disasters and so forth....

...and if God is "all knowing" then it's still a dirty trick to give us free will - since he must have known that some would use it to crash airplanes into buildings, etc.,

...and then of course...the last resort that people appeal to in this sort of argument goes likes this: "Well, God works in mysterious ways...and we just can't understand his plan....blah, blah, blah..."

That just leaves me unsatisfied...

These people(I am one) thank God for the great things in their life because they believe that He is responsible for helping bring it to pass---many times it is an answered prayer concerning something they have worked very hard for or been praying for--for a good while.

the Bible says that every good and perfect gift is from above--from the father of lights--from the Lord of Love.

We Christians trust in the maker of the universe to answer our prayers and when He does--we thank Him.

I believe in the Bible----I believe what it says

Sometimes bad things happen --but we must trust God during the hard times as well as the easy times---this is what builds your faith--it builds character and integrity.

What kind of faith flourishes when all is well and faulters under fire.? Jesus is looking for those who can fight the good fight and go the distance, like Paul and many others like him.

Peace

HM
