Being on test therapy for a few years & your natural test....

Been off for 6.5 weeks after 4 years. I did heavy clomid therapy for weeks + hcg. I have not had a test level drawn but have yet to feel any hard crash. My liver enzymes only got ugly when I used orals but my Chol was -270-300 average. High ldl low hdl. Im down ony 10 pounds since I came off but I did taper for weeks-----------Freak

It's not 100% sure (everyone is different) but with the help of a good endocrinologist everything can return to normal.

Whenever I talked to a doctor about using test (at replacement dosages like 100-200mg WK), they always told me to be sure that I really wanted to make that commitment because going on test replacement is a life-long decision. After being on for several years your body may never be able to produce enough test again. It is similar to what happens to people who stay on T3 for too long. Some are able to go off even after being on for a long time, but others have permanentely destroyed their thyroid with as little as a couple of months.

what kind of dosages of test were you on during those 4 years?

My endo said wehever i come off he can start me up again and it gets things going 98% of the time

its 2002..............i would think your safe

I banked sperm when i started to be safe but the doc assured me i wouldnt nead it

Good thread!! I actually am starting some therapy. I (personally)
think I have been VERY low for a few years now. I will see what
happens. I think it IS HCG they use as a friend of mine just went
through this.

dont know havnt come off

he gave me clomid and tamoxafin before i went on ....but dont know what his plan of action would be

He is a very good endocrinologist so i trust his judgement
