The genetics theory is totally unproveable and is only another excuse to do what is morally wrong.

No offense but, I ain't buying it. . .I've known a number of gay people over the years and they are just different (compared to hetero's). One of my old girlfriends from college "joined the other team" shortly after we graduated. She was (and still is) absolutely beautiful but, there was always something off-center about our relationship. . .always seemed like we were struggling (both literally and figuratively) to see who would be on top. She's been with the same woman for quite some time now (incidently, she's not hot. . .at all. . .strange) and she seems truly happy. . .she never seemed completely happy before. Makes no sense to me but, I've never had any questions about my sexuality.

I don't know, I can't figure out why anyone would want to be gay, yet it also goes against nature
Lots of animals engage in homosexual behavior so saying it goes against nature isn't absolutely correct unless you mean it goes against logic as it's sexual behavior without the expected result of reproduction.

That being said, animals don't have the social/moral laws we do, so nobody is judging when a female animal mounts another female ... in essence, it's harder for humans be be homosexual because of the societal pressures. I don't believe anyone is so perverse to pursue behavior that has generally been highly disapproved of in society, especially when it comes to behavior, like sex, that ultimately has a pleasurable outcome no matter how it's engaged in ...

There is NO SUCH THING as a purely heterosexual person, we all have something that attracts us, however small or insignificant, to our own gender, gay folks just have a little bit more of that and I think it's something you're born with, or things that happen to you in very young childhood that turns you to certain directions or the other.

So then what is your stand? Do you think people are born gay or is it our surroundings?

I think that there may not be any truly heterosexual women...at least I like to believe that...at least thats what I have been telling my wife...ROFL...

However, I just refuse to believe that there are any homosexual men...I am in complete denial...

Just cant see one man looking at another man's hairy arse and finding love....

Of course you do bud because your views are dictated to you by the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society, Brooklyn NY.

Can argue either way but imo theres few genetics and a lot of choice.

Nothing natural in this world is utterly black and white so I think the cases vary but, IMHO:

1. Some people are born with stronger, for lack of a better word, proclivity, to the opposite gender. Within themselves they RELATE better to the opposite gender, which translates into sexual attraction for the same gender (now that's not saying they WANT to be the opposite gender, I'm just saying they connect with them that well).

2. Some people have had experiences (read, abuse) that made them more comfortable with homosexual behavior.

3. Some people are extremely horny or extremely sensual or just can appreciate aspects of both genders and can be attracted to and love both genders.

In other words, I think it's nature AND nurture AND choice, and everyone is different. You can't paint it all with a single paintbrush.
