I went to see it last night.
it starts off really cheesy.
it ends really cheesy.

BUT in the middle, there is some fucking amazing action scenes and cool cinemaphotography. still really cheesy lines and overkill on the... well, the killing.

on a scale of one to ten as action movies, I give it a 7 or 8.

on a scale of one to ten for good movies, I give it a 2 or 3.

it was a self serving, good guy vs bad guy, join the military cheesy movie, much in the way top gun was. but with more killing.

some very cool camera cuts, and slow motion things.

and I couldn't get over the fact that Wilson dude's nose is way fucked up, and in many of the early scenes, it looked like he had makeup on, and you could see zits on his neck. bastard.

I go the theatre with one goal. To be entertained. The movie did a good job of that.

I think all the stars wear make up from what I hear. Even TV announcers have their make up crew.

oh yeah - they definitely wear make up - no doubt about that.
but usually it isn't so obvious. he looked really silly.

and yeah, I was entertained.

also entertained by a couple in front of me that had me baffled. a really pretty girl with a really dorky guy.
I wish it were socially acceptable to walk up to someone and ask "what do you see in them?" in regards to their date.
I had no desire to steal her away or even really talk to her beyond that, but I was fascinated by it all the same.

could see him talk, tongue didn't seem overly amazing.

from the way they were talking and reacting to each other, I don't think they are at the sex point.

and he was my age, and wasn't dressed like he had huge money.

don't know - but as long as she and he are happy, who's to judge.
hell, when I walked around with my ex, maybe there were many people saying "what is *she* doing with *him*?!" and I'm just kidding myself to think that wasn't the case.

You got to admit that they did several things very well. The scene with the F18 attempting to evade multiple SAM's was the best I've ever seen. I also enjoyed it when they were tracking his movements from a satellite. I don't think that is possible yet, well maybe if ALL the conditions are perfect.

it was cool - all the action was cool.
all the talking sucked.
and the over feeling sucked.

but as far as action goes, it was cool as hell.

esp if you love planes.

Heather is a babe that I lust after. There are lots of Hollywood hotties but for some reason they rarely find themselves in the better movies.

If you like Hackman at all...The Heist is a pretty good flick with more twists than a licorice stick. It also has Danny DeVito playing a mobster of sorts.
