beginner's cycle: input pls?

wassup guys,

my best friend/broly/partner in higher acts of stupidity (old timers here may recall some of my broly threads) has really tuned his life around. he has been sober for almost 2 years, down to one or 2 cigarettes a day, lost his beer belly, has been lifting hard and doing cardio for about 6 months now.

previously a spagetti armed stick with a beer gut, he has morphed into a much improved body; with noticeable bis, traps, glutes and pecs starting to pop out. i'm a little envious the way he has pumped up...seems like the skinny guys always pump up quickly!

he thinks he is ready for a mild roid run. i have tried to get him to wait about 6 more months, but he is determined to go ahead.

i haven't done a run in a couple of years; am behind the times on what is good and what is current today.

any suggestions?

he's 5-10, 37 years old, i am guessing 12% body fat now, estimating his weight at 160 pounds.

Sounds like he has his body used to lifting weights at this time. I would recommend Test-E ONLY for the first cycle. I did that on my first cycle and saw HUGE gains. You don't want to stack until you know how your body will react to AS. I recommend a 13 week cycle, 500mg per week, and possibly bumping that up to 750mg after 8-9 weeks. (depending on how he feels and is reacting to the TEST) Thats exactly what I did on my first cycle...you will see your buddy swell up and put on 20lbs like nothing. That's if he is eating enough and getting enough rest.

Make sure he has PCT on hand. I recommend HCG and NOLV for that.

agree, test-only cycle will do him wonders.... forget about orals or anything else.... also, I'd stay at 500mg / wk throughout the cycle.... I wouldn't do much more than 8 weeks either.... 10 at the very most for his first time.... make sure PCT is all set too (nolva or clomid + AI such as aromasin or AIFM)

Should be more than enough for someone lifting as little as he has been and on 1st cycle. As I'm sure you know, he's probably got plenty of time left in him until he should fully utilise gear. that said, sounds like you tries to put him off.

I agree; He needs atleast 3 years of solid training before reaching his natural max potential...

But if he still wouldn't listen to this advice then test @ 500 mg/week for 12 weeks with proper PCT is a good choice.
 
yes, i agree he should wait.............i waited for over 15 years before i did my first run.

but he won't....

so i am trying to help him out and make sure he doesn't do anything stoooooopid.

friends do that for each other.

If he's determined to do a cycle now Test 500mg a week for 10-12 weeks. Then PCT. AIFM with it
 
I think he should call Jenny and lay off the fried jumbo shrimp a bit longer before he starts-but if he must? Test du jour is fine.
 
I think we're all in agreement that nobody who has been lifting for six months has any business running a cycle. Even with you to guide him through PCT, it's just a completely silly thing to be doing. Given this thought, I think that even a standard 8-10 weeks test cycle is not a good suggestion.

I think that a simple 10mg early-AM Dbol cycle with a daily squirt of AIFM would be a better option. It could be run for 8-10 weeks and would be minimally invasive to his HPGA. With the AIFM thrown in, he wouldn't even suffer oestrogenic suppresion. It'd be like running the Dbol as a super-creatine. He'd come off it simply and it might even build him some reasonably safe muscle.

Give it a thought.
