Beginner 3x5 Question

Hey guys, 2 quick questions on the 3x5. First off, I haven't lifted in around 5 months. First time I lifted again was yesterday. 6 feet tall. I went from 175 lbs to 160 lbs (starved college student for most of summer). Also my strength was down. Had a hard time lifting yesterday, not surprised. Anyway, I've done the 5x5 twice, but thought I should probably just start from the beginning again.

Question 1: Do I start day 1 with my 5 rep maxes, or like the 5x5, do I start lower?

Question 2: Should I just play around about 2 weeks to get my body readjusted to the lifting, or should I jump right in?

Answer 1: Yes, you start lower, and preferably much lower than you would on the 5x5. It moves so quick you don't want to be back at your 5 rep maxes in 2 weeks.

Answer 2: See Answer 1. If you start low enough, you should adjust just fine.
