Can some good soul out there tell me how many carbs in a regular beer---- not light beer. GRACIAS.

Seems like the beer companies dont want to indulge to much of that on the outside labels......only the alcohol content.
 
I've looked for this too, and not seen it. Maybe I should take a closer look at that package.

I read labels on everything now, even the stuff I have on my free day, like beer.
 
Thanx Spatterson..... I usually like Miller High Life---the cheap stuff :) But , was wondering how awful they are since I am on my new eating kick :)

As I recall in the past, even the boxes didnt have that info.

I will do some searching on the internet brew section.
 
here's a good software you should get: FoodComp. Infos on any food (protein, carbs, calories.....). should be able to find it on download.com

KB...if you are yet to try it Grey Goose makes the best vodka on the planet. Talk about SMOOOOOOOOOOOTH ;)
 
Hey Spatterson:

If you can get Sam Adams Cherry Wheat (it's only available certain times of the year) mix it with guiness (like you would a black and tan) and it tastes like a chocolate covered cherry!!! Yummm!!

I don't drink but once or twice a year myself, but came across this concoction about 2 weeks ago - my boyfriend had one and I tasted it. It's very good!!!

of course!!!! its most certainly is the best!! my fav. vodka drink would have to be the good ole cosmopolitan.!!....thats the cool thing about bartending...u make some extra loot all while tastin everything for free :D wahooooo!!!:p

I actually love Cosmoplolitans...or dare I say even a Martini. However I usually just opt for the workin class of a Screwdriver. You truly have exquisite taste lady:)
 
The last batch of beer I brewed had an alcohol content of 9.6%/vol. I was quite disappointed, but it was quite smooth. Sometimes I mix it with shine, but only if it was a nail polish remover batch. This had nothing to do with the post but oh well.
 
A cosmo? Hmmm...I have some absolut and cranberry juice and some cointreau in my room...hmmm...maybe later:)

Since were switching gears here : I use to be Jack Daniels and coke in my twenties......now beer in my thirties :) My tastes have mellowed...... Cant stand red wine, but like white :)
 
Edit : I didnt USE to be Jack Daniels......use to drink it.

Might of been a time or two that I was living in the bottle, though to speak ;)

I rarely drink, when I do I love a good red wine with a gourmet meal. Merlot, Cabernet, you name it. Smooth, dry just love the reds.

:p Now when I am misbehaving on vacation I cannot stay away from a good Vodka, Tequila, Absolut. Straight up or on the rocks.

As far as mixed drinks, I have to admit a juvenile attachment to Long Island Ice Tea :confused: damn those are good!!

Anyone know of a good mixed drink for social occasions?? No girly drinks, please. Cosmopolitans have started to become overrated and trendy. Unless they are very well made :rolleyes:

oooooohhhh wonderful !!! welll... i guess im a girly girl who likes girly girl drinks:bawling: . the only reason cosmos suck now is because bartenders keep changing the mix or they dont know how to make an old school cosmo. i make and shake the best baby!! u should drink one of mine...and of course .. i would make it light pink.... serve it in one of those feminine cocktail glasses....gently place a lime on top.... blow ya a kiss and say... "sip delicately sweetheart" :mix:

Personally I hate beer...but give me some wine and Im feeling great! Im a cheap date too...only takes me about 2 glasses and I am done. I guess I need to build up my tolerance. Or a good mixed drink on a warm beach is nice too....mmmmm im dreamin now...back to drinking my gallon:(
 
yes...mr. lobo....TEQUILA all the way!

if u do shots...not too many cals and a helluva buzz! oh...and shine is awesome too....gotta burn with a low blue flame to be the good stuff though!
 
KB, what do you think of this one?? Last night I tried a "Mojita"

I guess it's the national drink of Cuba.

Some sugar and mint ground up, 2 shots rum, club soda, and lime.

Does not taste boozy or sweet, really refreshing, a dangerous combination.

I am afraid if I had 2 or 3 of those I would be a little too "happy" and watch out!! Since hardly ever drink:p

ok threads too long to read all through it, so here it is...

Miller Light is only 3.2 carbs....so if your on a low carb diet....oh sweet Jesus..i know you didn't want to know about light beer, but the average beer has 8-12 carbs. Bud has 12 carbs.

But miller light i think has the lowest carbs out of all the beers....

Killian Red, Amberbock, and Bass....sweet sweet bear.
