Beer or Hard stuff?????????

I think beer would mess u up more because of the empty calories.

If you do vodka shots it actually makes you a little more ripped the next day because of the dehydration

Doesn't liquor have empty calories too? I thought vodka and sprite (diet) had like 250 calories or something????

Does anyone have a link to a spread sheet with nutrition values. I've always been interested in seeing them.

damn i hate these threads... they are all bad per se... (alcohol, not the threads... well maybe them too). But what is REALLY bad is the food you eat while drinking. if you want to be safe, drink light beer, and use diet soda in mixed drinks... and most of all dont eat anything when your all fucked up. do this and you should be fine!

Alcohol has 7 calories per gram, meaning a shot is close to 100 calories. That's pretty much the same as a light beer, except a light beer has a few carbs. Either way you go, it's not good for you. Alcohol is no bueno.

How fucking true this is for me. Christ, the shit I'll eat when enebriated is horrid. For me it even carries into the next day. All that I seem to be able to stomach the day after is junkfood. Only drink now on the rarest of occasions. Evil stuff.

Drinking on a carb-up tho should be ok right? I mean its empty calories but most beers or mixed drinks have around 15 carbs in each bottle! And it wont hurt my fat loss im thinking

food and alchol have a sinergic mechanism for fat gain!!
when I went to mykonos, only drinking and proteins was really good for fat loss(I don't know why, because alchool is empty calories and suppresses metabolism...but,thrust me!!).
the next year in ibiza, less alchool and more food....great fat gain!

You should probably go with beer if you absolutely have to have a drink, but make it a light beer.

The reason I say this is because liquors such as vodka, scotch, etc. are composed primarily of simple sugars such as glucose, glycerol, and maltose. These monosaccharides are very quickly absorbed into the body, which will cause an insulin spike, the very thing we all try to avoid unless it's directly post-workout.

My suggestion: Unless you want to make a post-workout shake by mixing protein and some hooch, stay away from the stuff. It's fine to have a drink every once in a while, but don't make it an everyday affair. Enjoy!! ;)

Damn, I always thought straight liquor or liquor mixed with a diet drink were your best options :o

I dont know how bad it is to hit the vodka bottle say once every 2 weeks, but i took u guys advice and instead of drinking beer the last time i drank i hit up the vodka with diet soda and the next day my abs seemed ripped the heeeeeeeeellllllll up...

Maybe i should do this more often...lol

yesterday I was on bodyopus carb-up.
I went to capri(italy).a lot of girls...and I decide to add one beer and a shot of rum to mu carb-up.
it was amazing after 2 hours...I had a six-pack I've not ever had....
maybe it was only water retention but...

Absolutely man i think im gonna drink a little vodka maybe once in a while when i go out.

But i think after the drink u look sooooo good because u start to dehydrate and makes ur abs stik out like hell.......
