Bedtime Protein Shake

Hello everyone. I am looking at fine tuning my protein shake I have right before bed. I usually use a slow release protein and some fat free milk, and maybe a banana or something. I wonder though if any of you have a good "recipe" for this particularly timed shake? I don't want to add a lot of sugar and I'm afraid thats what the banana is doing. I also don't want to go to bed bloated or overfull so I think an oatmeal/chicken brest/protein shake is out. :p SO, if you happen to think just slow release protein and skim milk is ok or if you think I should add something else in there that can help that would be great feedback. My goal with this shake is to help with muscle repair mostly as I am hitting the 5X5kinda hard now, and not really to bulk up. Thanks in advance.

Get rid of the bananna, use the milk if you want but thats got a lot of sugar in it too. Add some omega 3 oil (or flax), maybe some all natural PB and your good to go.

I looked at my milk jug and it sayd it only has 8 grams of sugar and no fat and no choles. The protein I use has less than 1 gram of sugar so is that still too much if I remove the banana? I am getting burned out on PB. I swear I out that in everything and it is getting old. UGH I will try the flax and see what happens. I guess if it tastes bad I can just chug it. Thanks for the reply man.

Yeah the flax isn't going to make it taste any better lol, but if you gotta have milk you can always get the low sugar milk as well. 8 grams right before bed is kind of a lot IMO

Why don't you try some frozen blackberries or raspberries, lot less sugar than the banana but still semi-sweet.
