After years of giving people advice on how to pass a pee test when you really shouldn't pass, I finally had to put my money where my mouth is.
Got called in for a random drug screening last month. I'm subject to them for work but have only had 2 in 16 years with the company.
Just my luck, last month's piss test came 2 days after I had spoked more than a little pot (just for nostalgic purposes). I've probably done that 3 times in the last 16 years.)
I had 2 hours to report to the lab which was 45 minutes away. I spent the first 15 minutes downing two 20oz bottles of Diet Mt Dew.
Then on the drive down, I put away 2 more bottles. I actually had to stop and empty my bladder twice before I even got to the lab. I figured that was a good thing.
By the time I got to the lab, filled out my paperwork, and got into the john, I was ready to go again. I started in the toilet and began collecting the sample after 3 seconds. Once the cup was full to the mark, I finished in the toilet so that the sample did not contain any urine from the beginning or end. Thanks to the Diet Mt. Dew, my sample actually had some color even though I had diluted the hell out of my whole urinary tract.
Sample went to the lab 3 weeks ago and I have gotten no calls from my boss... So, I figure I'm in the clear.
This worked because by diluting my urine so much, I lowered the THC concentration to below what would trigger a positive on the initial screening. To minimize costs, most drug screening companies only move on to (the more expensive) HPLC or HPGC test if you test positive in the chemical screening.
Some employers (especially in high security situations) pay for HPLC or HPGC up front. There is no passing those tests without clean urine.
