It is and isn't. It's legal. Steroids are not. Beast is also stronger than any oral I've ever used. Katana is my favorite tho.... vascularity like crazy. btw, both will be illegal soon so you may want to stock up.

Most people like beast over dbol cuz u won't get the water retention and beast doesn't convert to estrogen

Actually beast IS a steroid..just because it's legal doesn't mean it isn't a roid..prohormones are precursors to steroids usually missing one step or chemical that would make it a steroid...beast is superdrol which is a designer steroid that the government hasn't outlawed just yet..legality has nothing to do with it..ecstasy was a designer drug long before it was illegal..and it's not "test" just like tren and deca aren't test yet are still aas..

better strength gains in my experience as well
I am a aas user and dbol is damn good. I have only used one ph in the past and Imo it wasnt as good. Anadrol and halotestin are incredible. I cant comment on beast as ive never used it. If I were you Id try both ph's and oral aas and decide what works best for you.

nope. its a designer steroid.
its like you saying that superdrol isn't a steroid. the only reason its legal right now is a loophole in the system which is gonna be closed.
andro is a pro hormone you are correct though but beastdrol is NOT a PH
I'm sure a newb will chime in and say "but steve its listed as a pro hormone on mr supps!!!" well tomatoes are listed as veggies in the supermarket, doesn't mean they are veggies, they are a fruit. how something is sold can be dictated by legal loopholes and marketing.
as for the OP's 2nd question all AAS are derived from test, but in practical terms beastdrol is an oral clone of superdrol to be exact.
