I saw it with my oldest son and husband. Pretty scenery ... a sad tale about essentially unhappy people, IMO. I don't like starcrossed lover stories.

perhaps the best review i have read of this movie. it bummed me out for days after viewing it. i felt sorry for the screen characters involved.

i didnt like it at all
although i did feel sorry for heath ledgers character, because he was trying to be a regular straight guy but was involved with jakes character when jake was a man whore all over Texas and Mexico
i did think the scenery was awesome tho

An essentially plain boring cowboy movie (no Indians or shoot outs?) pocketed with some great landscape scenes.

Watched a movie about a Brazillian prison system. One of the characters mentions that it doesn't matter how straight you are, after being locked up with only men for over 10 years everybody changes their view on homos. Wonder how true that is?

I turn subtitles on for every movie cause it helps me remember things that are said so it wasn't a problem. I think they used the same method Brando used in The Godfather.
