BCAA In large doses while on

Indy

High End Bro
Platinum
I have read where doing rather large doses of BCAA's over a 2-3 week period in between meals (normally last few weeks prior to competition) raise BCAA plama concentrations in the blood which your body interprets as the breakdown of lean muscle tissue. In order to keep you from breaking down even more muscle tissue, your body stimulates the release of stored fat in order to spare nitrogen (from your muscle tissue). Therefore you're not only sparing muscle tissue but accessing stored bodyfat at the same time.

Any research or knowledge of this process still staying intact or changing in any manner while on gear which already alters nitrogen retention etc. ???

Not looking for compete but way to stay lean as possible while on higher calories, wonder if this might assist an already clean diet.

thanks in advance,

It makes sense but in real world application, not sure how this would help. Bump for more info for the answer.

try it out for a month and post your thoughts, sounds logical on paper at least.

I'm in the first week of it now, makes sense, but the gear part of the equation is what is not "documented", not sure if it would amplify or not not, but I'm game to try.

Leucine has gotten most of the attention out of the" BCAA stack"

so much so people are just buying Leucine

BCAA's have a place for sure

Preworkout for me

i have been taking 2 of those horsepills post workout....is it best to take em before???? I would imagine after working out since you need BCAA for the recovery phase

What do you consider a large dose?

What are you taking per serving / per day?

Excellent post & theory!

5 tablets contain: L-Leucine 2500 mg, L-Isoleucine 1000 mg, L-Valine 1000 mg,

Suggestion is 10 of these tablets, twice a day. First between meals #1 and #2 and 2nd between meals #4 and #5.

I think this is all a load of crap started by juicers to divert attention. Didnt the wide reciever for the Cardinals who signed for big money with the Dolphins claim to use a ton of aminos? Boston i think? Then the guy ended up testing positive for juice.

If you are thru with your conspiracy theory, this was tested and proven by NON GEAR USING PROFESSIONAL BODYBUILDERS, hence the question in post 1.

Any positive input is appreciated.
thx

I was just going by his statement. Sounded like he thought we all need an excuse to divert atention so we just came up with a theory to do so. I deleted the post it just pissed me off for a sec.

Yeah, all i meant was that people use it as an excuse. I believe Boston said he achieved his look by taking tons of aminos and hooking up to an IV and all that shit. But in the end he was just juicing. Like when people ask if i juice i would say i use creatine or a bunch of aminos or something like that or i could put a bottle of amplify2 in my locker and people would think thats what i use. Kinda like Mark McGwire with his bottle of andro.

Sorry to hijack your thread.

Understood, no harm done, still looking for anyone that has tried this on juice, looks like I'll just continue testing. Seems to me the gear should assist in eating up the extra aminos since they are in free form and come between meals.

15 to 20g of bcaa's preworkout 30 minutes following a solid protein/carb meal and then sipping 5g's during training. follow with a pwo shake. no dextrose necessary, just the protein.

there is a great post on anabolic review which explains why this is effective, i just dont have time now to get it. if your still interested let me know and when i have time i will get it for you.

The effect is small and hard to notice for sure. There was a study with 6g of essential aminos (whicch includes BCAAS) before a workout that showed increased protein synthesis. A recent study tried to see if the effect could be replicated with plain whey protein. The whey did not have the same effect on protein synthesis.
