WHo do you think makes more money these days- between men and women entering the work world- in this current generation. Obviously in our parents generation (40-70) years old it was men by far, but I think it has changed a great deal. Statistically more women finish school, get better grades, and start out with better professions- it still seems that men our favored once work starts, and are still favored in general, but it really seems like women somehow acheive more. For instance, 1 and 3 black men will spend time in jail, I am sure that it is not near half this much for women. Personally I know way more guys who have made huge mistakes that have drastically altered their future than girls. I have also read some studies that prove guys are favored in admissions to school(graduate, undergraduate, law, medical, ect) because there are fewer of them who are attempting to get in, and society still sees them as the caregiver. Also, my brother who had really good grades in undergrade and just average on the GRE (high on the reading comprehension aspect and very, very low on the math) got accepted to harvard, while a girl I know had great grades, high gre and was more involved did not get near getting in. Its just wierd because there is more in it for a guy to make money than for a girl, girls seek guys who have the potential for money, but it is not the same for guys seeking girls. I also think women typically like for the husband to make more, but it seems now days it is more likely to be the other way around
