Bartenders out there???

My wife is taking her test this week. She is studing her ass off. It is alot harder thaN IT SEEMS.

Anyway they told her that she can make great money.

Anybody know what bartenders really make?

p.s Just for the record my wife is the spitting image of Pam Anderson ( no kidding) with bigger breasts ( she would kill me if i wrote that they were size F's ) I do not go to bars or clubs. just not my thing i guess, to busy organizing the gym. I want her to be happy making more money but i want her to be safe too.

Well i'm a former bartender at college last year..

i never had to take a "test"...but i guess you have to to be a REAL bartender..

anyways, its fun, trust me..she'll make good money..i did it once or twice a week and pulled in about 250 easy..plus it was a club and people tend to get more drunk and wild in da club and therefore more tips

tell her not to get too drunk while working though..i gave the same advice to Kartchick last night..it seems fun that you're allowed to get drunk with customers but if you get too drunk you start fuckin up..

a few times I forgot to take people's money for their drinks..boss wasnt happy...also tell her to be careful since she's a female..i once had to throw a guy back over the bar cuz he tried to jump over to yell at one of my co-workers who was female..he was basically trying to spit game at her, she wasnt hearing it, blew him off, he was drunk, got pissed and watned to scream in her face..

i mean me and the bouncers took care of it easily, but it happens sometimes and its not cool..

Yup, I took a test too.

Depends on where you are working.
NYC, early 90's, bar, bar/niteclub
$175-450 a shift.

Depends on the day and how many bars their are if it's a club, are there 2 or more people tending a bar, splits, etc.

Best night I ever had was $1200 before tip out, averaged $225 per night.

Thanks guys, I feel a little bit better about it now. I was worried that she would not make it worth her while but it seems like she will do fine. She just came home from class and she says she is ready for the test on thursday. Fingers crossed I am ready for some long
" waiting up " nights but if it's what she wants to do then i will support her 100 %.

( even though she will probobly run off with some rich North Providence lawyer or something )
