Barack sure does talk a lot about how is going to change everything.

Guy talks and talks and talks and talk. Yet I have never heard him say a fucking thing about how he is going to do all he clams he is going to do. Just does a lot of talking about nothing. Telling people things they already know.

I have a big feeling Mccain is going to rip him a new one in debates.

he hopes to change stuff, he will try, not be successful, finish his term cumming up with bullshit policy ideas, exit office, nothing changed

here ya go.. tells you where he stands, based on his voting record.. I read his voting on another site.. ugly it is indeed..

if you check out his website you can see a lot more of the detail behind his statements.

Nothing but h8ters and racists up in this thread.

Blacks, "flakes" and other people will get out in vote. They want change from the oppression and hate they encounter every day. With that change comes hope.

You cannot deny change and hope!

I cant live with the staus quo..Mccain..Well I like the guy,but he will have no policy differences (that I can tell) that differ from Bush. Im voting Obama. Ron Paul wouldve got my vote but he is too radical for America to accept just yet.

Obama is probably the least qualified fuckstick in this nation to be president.

Name one good reason to vote for him.

Army Vet, the reason I like him is due to his lack of bullshit political responses. I saw a debate or interview where he was attacked due to his proposal of raising taxes. He said that "yes, we are going to have to raise taxes and its going to effect the wealthy the most, and in effect it will raise my own taxes because I am in the highest bracket along with the wealthy"

I liked the mannor in which he said it.. I liked that he didnt bullshit and even though he had bad news he told it like it is instead ofr dancing around it like every other politician Ive seen in my lifetime. He is very real, even if he has to deliver bad news..keep in mind he knows this is a politically unpopular thing to do,but he admits it DURING campaigning. I respect that even though I disagree with his tax policy. Look at Hilary..The woman is dodging every question so we forget what she was even asked int he first place.

they all do that shit!!!!! then as soon as they get into office they do the complete opposite! i wish there was a check box on the ballets that says "i'm participating in this election and i choice neither canidate" it would save alot of people from just throwing there vote away.

Lack of political BS? He lies about the most trivial things. He cannot give a straight answer to anything. He says he is a Washington outsider but he has consistently played the game since day one. His voting record shows that. Not to mention the lies he has made about his relationship with his pastor and his other associates. Obama is a fake just like 99% of the other politicians up in DC.

No bullshit?

So you know that every time they raises taxes on the wealthy, the wealthy always shelter more of their money so they effectively pay less in taxes and tax revenues actually decrease, right? I mean you've seen the history of this proven before, right?

So, I guess "in effect" Hussein is lying to Americans, because he is among the wealthy who will shelter more of their income and "in effect" pay less taxes.

So bro, you just gonna bitch and complain about the candidates or are you going to do something? You going to vote?

No I am not because I disagree with both of them on numerous policy standpoints.

The #1 problem facing the USA at this point is illegal immigration. All candidates support amnesty and I do not support it at all. I refuse to compromise my position on this issue. I can list other issues but I am wasting my breath. IMO - there is not one candidate worth voting for.

As for doing something I am very active in my local community supporting social and political causes I deem worthwhile.

I love the fact that Obama and his wife claim Americans MUST (as in be forced) to give more, yet Obama gave 1% of his million dollar salary to charity last year. That is not the sign of someone with integrity.

let's hope johnnyMac picks a good vice presidential candidate...might be FDR/truman all over again.

So he gave 100K to charity and thats bad? I did pretty well last year (for me anyway) and I didnt give near to 1% away. I feel that I have great integrity despite my lack of 1% to charity. Hey I did give approx. 55% to our country's largest charity, the IRS and my state tax.

I do however always have a lot of interest in what our veterans of war think about the different politicians/candidates. You have put your life on the line for our country so perhaps you have a different view of the leadership than civilians.

The only thing we can do is vote in strong local goverments that oppose Washington. The Fed is too powerful and out of control.

Come on bro...Hussein is just like the rest of us poor, bitter, working class saps, who are clinging to guns and religion.

Yes, I am familiar with the concept of raising tax= less tax dollars for Gov. and lowering tax rates will stimulate the economy into a more prosperous situation where more dollars are floating around and passing through delivering more people being taxed at a lower marginal tax rate...ending up in more tax revenue for the IRS. Im not sure we have seen either way proven though. CEO, where can I see the history of this proven? Do you have some concrete evidence of this that a layman such as myself can understand?

What tax shelters are you talking about? There is only one legal one that I know of and its the IRS code section 7702 which is the "rich man's roth" strategy which allows you to borrow against the cash value of your life insurance policy tax free and never pay it back, it just lowers the death benefit to your heirs. This isnt an immediate tax sheltor though, you would need your policy to be in effect for YEARS to make this worthwhile (from what I have read). I am interested in exactly what tax shelters you speak of? Maybe a limited partnership?

1% of $1,000,000 is $10,000 not $100,000 [edit - alcatraz caught my error! WTF!]

i still cannot believe that so many people are taking this slum lord lawyer seriously.

Sweet god...come to think of it I have probably given more away in free lifetime plats on this board than Obama has given in the past year to charity, and I am being serious. That is pathetic lol

It has been prove in numerous instances in many different nations. Here is but one article that discusses it.

I gave more than $1,000 last year to charity and I am not a millionaire. I sure as hell do not go around preaching that we need to force people to give more like Obama either.

Bro, 1% of 1 mill is $10,000.

Where do you teach finance bro? I really would like to see the higher tax=lower tax revenue theory proven somehow. Since you teach, youve gotta run across something on taxation I am sure you have some acess to those materials, no? Nothing labeled "opnionmagazine" or opinion journal though.

I am a member of Ed Slott's group and I am gonna ask him his opinion of this.. Google Ed Slott Avet, I think you'll enjoy his work. He is recognized as the best CPA in America, and tax reduction specialist, IRA guru etc,,

there are only two subjects that I'm really good at, like really good: English lit. and math.

No worries bro...everyone makes mistakes
